As of this AM, suddenly Priority Shipping is the top most choice when I go to print a label, on my Buyer Selected First Class pkgs!!! If you're not paying attn, it's easy to miss & you'll pay more than necessary.
It now has a flag saying 'fastest method' or something to that effect on Priority & comes up first in the list & default selected EVEN THOUGH the buyer selected First Class & the 2nd option is FC, with the flag 'buyer selected'.
So they're trying to trick you into buying the more expensive 'fastest' method. This would have made sense months ago, but now pkgs are moving pretty well.

I just checked the one I have to ship later and it did the same. BIG difference between Priority and Media mail.

This is what you see - I'd had this happen before a few times and thought it was a glitch, but now they've organised it into a straight-ahead switch, which I don't appreciate. It's just another way eBay has of trying to push us into being Amazon sellers. We're not children.  |

This morning I had a Priority item and the FedEx espress was checked. So instead of a shipping cost of $7.33, they showed a $35 shipping price.

ETA, I just got an "it's not you, it's us" message that the server was down, and then when I tried again, it had changed to the new way.

It varies among orders-they just throw whatever they want into the shipping method.

Mine has been consistent. Always the Priority first & the FC second. At first I thought it was a glitch, til I saw it was consistent.

Thanks for posting this. I just came here to post it.
I sold a book that weighs over a pound and selected media mail (only media mail) in the listing.
When I click to print the label, it shows, in order:
Priority Mail $8.50 (this has been pre-selected, so you have to change it deliberately)
FedEx Home Delivery $8.33
Media Mail $3.33
This is just wrong. I did not include those other methods in my listing. They should not be prioritized above the one method that I'm offering. I'm sure that many sellers are now accidentally shipping by a more expensive method, and losing money, because of eBay's manipulation.

While you are checking the shipping method, take note of the shipping date. Even when I print out a shipping label at 11 pm, it still shows that day, instead of the next day.
It used to show the next day as of about 7pm.

That's a glitch of what they're trying to walk back as a 'glitch' - the change in shipping order. The 'free' shipping is sticky so it's being applied to everything in this new system. It would have been a lot easier to just leave it alone and let sellers decide.

Yeah, I agree, it's not a glitch. It was a new 'feature' that wasn't thought through & now they're walking it back. Whether you offer FS or not, the result is the same, you, the seller, are paying the difference if you fall for it. |

People complained on a EFB facebook post and the rep replied they are aware and their team is working on it. Hopefully that's the truth. I do like the feature they added that you can get a QR code for your label. I am in CA and our power will be off from this afternoon until Wed night to prevent fires. Since I can't use my printer, I can go to a Post office with power(about 35 min away) and have them print them out at the window.

Except maybe in FVF on shipping. Absolutely RIDICULOUS!!!!!!

Mine are all over the board. I have 5 pending shipping; 1 was correct with Media Mail, 2 showed First Class and 2 showed Priority.

First time using this cluster* since it started. Took my package which had parcel select or priority and gave me all flat rate choices. I had to really look for Priority Mail.
