I have listed a bit on my cell, but it would be a lot easier for me to just copy and paste onto OfferUp on my desktop.
Apparently it is now possible, but I can't figure out how to access the site. It seems that I might be able to do it on Google Chrome, but after Chrome gave me a virus, I need another way.

When I try to click on the sell button on the Offer Up website, it prompts me to download the app. You should be able to access it from any browser, but it doesn't look like you can sell FROM the browser.

Thanks..I Googled it, and watched a you-tube that said to download "Medium", which I did. But I still can't see anywhere to sell on that site. I did make a few sales last year when I listed there, but I hate to have to type the description, etc on my cell.

Chrome is not only a reputable browser, but the best one to use. Unless you downloaded it from a sketchy place, Pyrex is right, it can't give you a virus. CNET is the best place for doing downloads & checking on the reputation of things. But Chrome comes from Google & as long as you got it from Google or CNET or some other reputable source, you did NOT get a virus from Chrome. Firefox is fine too. IE has lots of issues & security holes, so stay away from it. Those are the 3 most commonly used browsers. There's also Opera, but IDK that much about it. It is legit though & Tor which is legit but probably not ideal for a non-techie like you.
I'd be very suspicious that your BB Geek either doesn't know what they're doing or is charging you for nothing b/c there's no way he'd know HOW you got a virus, if in fact you even had one. THat makes no sense. That's not something one can normally or easily do. He can pretty easily determine if you have a virus, but not how you got it. I think you need a new computer guy or learn the basics yourself, b/c he's feeding you BS.
Whatever browser you use, would be how you'd access Offerup.
ETA: I'm not familiar with Medium, but it's concerning that you'd download something just b/c a youtube told you to. That's how you get viruses! Downloading stuff you don't know what it is!

I did check out reviews from Medium, and it looks pretty tame. It is more of a writing source.
Whatever happened to my computer, actually changed my IP address so I was unable to log into anything with my passwords. And yeah, knowing me, I did something wrong.
Since Edge doesn't work with eBay for me, I use FF for it. But FF doesn't have the capability to access OfferUp for my desktop, apparently.
ETA: I guess that I didn't install Medium. I didn't intentionally install it, but the news feed is showing up in my email. So I guess the news info still gets in. It isn't in my apps to uninstall.

I'm glad you checked out Medium before downloading it.
Changing your IP address wouldn't make it so you can't log on with your pw's. You'd just have to log on again & go through a verification process (like when you clear cookies or use a new device). Some of us have various situations where our IP address changes every logon, it's no big deal, in fact it's a security & privacy benefit. If in fact your IP address changed, it would NOT cause your pw's to not work.

Your computer geek needs to learn how to communicate more clearly.

So I did download Chrome with Cnet, but OfferUp still doesn't seem to let me list on my desktop. So much for that.
So I uninstalled Chrome and it had incorporated 2 other apps, that I also had to uninstall. That might have been my problem before. One was OneDrive, and I forget the other one. But I had news announcements on the whole time in the background.

I can't find anything that allows you to post from your computer on Offerup. In fact, a lot of people are pissed because OfferUp bought LetGo and they have either taken away or plan to take away the list from computer functionality.

OneDrive is from Microsoft, not Google. Your system may have done a Windows update that downloaded One Drive - looks like it has something to do with Cloud storage. I don't do Windows updates, nor do I use Cloud storage, so I'm not familiar with it. It should not have anything to do with Chrome, but may VERY well have been installed by Windows, esp if you use Win10. One Drive IS a legit program from Microsoft. Chrome is from Google.
I don't get why you would uninstall the most common browser in use.
ETA: But from what Jeremy is saying, sounds like there's no PC component to list with Offerup.

I keep reading that it is able to be used on a desktop, but I sure can't find it.

So I am going to keep it that way since I am used to it.

How odd that a MS product & Google product would be bundled together. Whatever works for you.

OneDrive is nice, to be honest. After having lost a ton of stuff due to a hard drive crash, I have everything auto-saved to OneDrive. I can also access it all when I'm not on my home computer. If you run Win10, OneDrive is going to eventually be there no matter what, it's included in an update. I've had it for at least a year now.

Even the kids on the Poshmark subreddit are finding that it's a lot easier and faster to use the web app for dealing with listing and sales than the phone app. I agree with them, after having lost internet access for a while and having to use a phone to do everything - OMG, everything took twice as long, and I'm pretty proficient with a phone.

Agree, Chap. There are a couple of sites that seem to do well, but are only available on iPhones, which leave my Android out. But I hate listing on my cell.

That's another thing - the compatibility issues. If I have to I'll use a phone for listing (I have to use one on the road after all, unless I want to use it as a hot spot for a tablet), but having web apps only for iOS when Android is the most popular OS in the world just baffles me.
