I'm no returns & rarely allow them, but I just allowed one recently. It was a Return Request, not a case.
I just got the item & her postage label says "No Postage Necessary if Mailed in the US", so someone sent her a free return label. Who paid for that?
I don't do these very often, so I'm confused. I thought on a Return Request, the buyer pays for return shipping? It sure looks like someone paid for that label. Did Ebay pay for it & somehow take the money from me? I haven't actually processed it yet, but it looks like the amt that will be refunded is only the item amount.

She must have printed from eBay. They get returned using first class package return service. Buyer either paid for it or will be billed.

Zoe - Check your eBay billing section. They will take the cost of the label out in your fees area. I had a return on 2 lots of 10. The guy ordered 3 lots, cherry picked the books he wanted and then returned 2 of the lots (I'm free returns and I pay for postage). I mail everything media mail, but the label he got for the return was Priority. I didn't look to see how much they charged me. I didn't want to know...
ETA: I got charged $6.52 for the label. Media mail would have been $4.39.

Zoe is no returns, so she shouldn't be charged for the label at all.

Didn't PayPal announce some sort of program a while back in which they would pay for return shipping?

Media mail would have been $4.39. I looked at the July Invoice when this happened & I have no fees for a label. I do have a note saying that Fees are on my SH now, but they really aren't LOL. I am very puzzled. Jeremy were yours on or around the date the return commenced? Maybe she called Ebay & got it comped? Also when I go to refund her, I have a blurb telling me to give the buyer a bit more info & that it's required for reductions. Tho' I don't see anywhere I could reduce the amount. There's also a slider bar I've never seen before, to allow me to refund her original shipping. She disputed my measurements, but opened it as a Return Request, so maybe she called Ebay to get a free label? Tho' you can't call Ebay right now. I guess it doesn't matter, it just struck me as odd. I expected her to pay the return shipping on a Return Request.

Wow, they must really be sweating the split from Ebay with MP. That's a great offer, I may sign up for it myself. I don't think this is what she used b/c her label said Ebay, not PP, but it's very interesting!

I just had a return for "fit". Measurements were in the listing(don't know if that impacts return $). The dress was $29.90 + 5.20 shipping. According to my 'return details', Customer was refunded 29.90 from my account. It appears the customer was not refunded shipping.

I don't understand how she had a 'No Postage Nec in the US' shipping label. But it looks like she could have paid for it, per Kat or maybe she called Ebay, though that's virtually impossible right now. I think she got it from Ebay though or she would have asked me to reimburse her.

I have a few remorse returns here still in the package that I’m not relisting. They all have the same no postage due/package return service label.its very rare that I get a return where they go to the post office and buy a label. It’s all automated and easy to print the return label on eBay.
