I had buyer's notes on two orders yesterday that I did not see when shipping yesterday. I happened to look at "all orders" today, and the buyer's note is displayed across the top plain as day. Trying to figure out why I didn't see the messages yesterday.
I think they both sold after I started shipping. I don't think I ever went back to the "awaiting shipment" view so I never saw the messages. If you can see them when you go use the "go to next order" (not sure exactly what it says there), I didn't notice them, but I will be watching to see if they show up on that screen. If not, ebay needs to make it so it does show up there. How do large sellers even deal with messages from buyers like that? It would be a nightmare, I think.
One buyer was just saying thanks, but the other buyer was requesting I change the shipping address. Had to wrote him today to let him know I missed it.

Isn’t there a setting, or there used to be one, for removing that option of a message box?

I don’t know where I did it, but for years I have had buyer checkout notes turned off and do not receive them from PayPal or eBay. I prefer communication in eBay messages because I used to miss seeing them too.

My messages are displayed in yellow in a couple of places. At least in Edge, they were. Hope that FF does it too.

Yes, FF does that, too - right with the item title.
