I have someone who bought some Nutrisystem tracking booklets for the price of shipping. I put them in a small Manila envelope and see that it is counted, most likely, as a package. Do you think I can do something to get it counted as a large envelope for less money? Can I put them in a tyvek or something?
I divided them into 2 piles of 3. Weight is 7 ounces.

Wouldn't they be okay to mail using media mail? If they're not selling anything, like an instruction manual for an appliance, that is.

Good point about MM. If they qualify for Media Mail, that would be the way to go. Large Envelope/Flat would be about $2.50, I think and Media under 1lb is $2.80 retail. I don't know how thick your package is, but the large envelope has to under 3/4" as far as I know. I mail folded blueprint pages at the counter for work and sometimes just 3 folded sheets in a tyvek put it over. It depends on the clerk if they slip it through their template. Keep in mind you can't get tracking on an envelope so if you need that, opt for FC or MM.

I took it to the PO. The guy said it is a package.
Yes, it could probably go media mail but once I calculated first class with the ship now discount, all was good. I got tracking which is important, as USPS is so messed up.

Tracking has now updated on all packages. Two are out for delivery, carrier couldn't get access for one location and the other looks like it might still be a few days but I'll take it.
