Five of the 7 that got picked up yesterday are not tracking. One is a $300 diaper bag that I sold on a Poshmark. The 2 that are tracking have at least 3 scans on them. The diaper bag is the last thing I bought at Dillards (in November), and I bought it because Liz was having great success with this brand. I paid $270 for two (the other is a different style) so this is going to almost get my investment back, if it actually shows up that is. I know others have had the same issue with things not getting scanned; I just don’t remember what the outcome was. Anyone have a story to tell?

Stuff is going all over the country & taking 2 weeks to arrive (Other stuff taking 3 days). 2/3rd of my stuff is going to different sorting centers than normal & the sorting ctrs are all over the US. Normally my stuff goes to Denver, each night's batch goes somewhere different, Vegas, Sioux Falls, Kent, WA & many others.
That said, it's why I absolutely insist on getting a pick up scan, b/c so much is NOT getting scanned along the way. ITs' the only way to prove I mailed it. I wouldn't let anything go out without a pick up scan, especially now!
ETA: I realize that doesn't help you for these, all you can do is hope you get a scan somewhere along the way. But for future, I would not let anything go without watching the scan happen or having someone pick it up, who you trust to scan each item. B/C some items are taking weeks to arrive, I've had several buyers contact me & that first scan is proof that I shipped it when I said I did.

I talked to my carrier today, and she felt bad so I think she will scan them from now on. She scanned this morning’s immediately once I’d told her. I have the email confirming they picked up the packages but I don’t think that will help if they don’t show up ever. It’s weird that they haven’t scanned at at least one of the three places (if they are moving, that is). PM sent me an email reminding me I needed to ship it. I had actually put my store on vacation beginning on Sunday, but the buyer contacted me that she had missed the offer deadline and could I send it again. I had to take my store off vacation to do it, and I let her know it wouldn’t go out until Thursday, but PM doesn’t know that, of course.

somany - go to the sold item, and under 'problems/order inquiry' there should be an option for shipped but not scanned. Go ahead and click that - it gets it on the record - you'll get an acknowledgement email. Also, I always fill in the three steps for showing that I shipped it.

I have a system set up for my carrier to lmk any time he's on vaca (it's just a bag with a pad of sticky notes & a pen) b/c if he's gone, 95% chance the scan won't happen (frankly the pickup doesn't happen a lot when he's gone). So now he just writes down any days off that he has, in addition to his normal days off & I know to either hold the pkgs or take them somewhere myself, to get scanned. I'm certain the confirmed email wouldn't be proof of anything, b/c it doesn't have any tie to the pkgs, there's no way to tell what pkgs were picked up, from the email or from the pkg pick up form. Chap chapeaunoir where is that drop down? I looked under Orders in SH & it's not there for me. I didn't know there was such an option.

Yay, it’s tracking now! Left my post office at 5:39 pm today, should arrive Tuesday. The clerk specifically said nothing is left there overnight but obviously that’s not the case.

That's the case at my post office - nothing left overnight, but I have a feeling since this isn't really normal times there are going to be some lags in this situation. What I think is a real shame is eBay closing INRs and forcing refunds of items still in the mail stream.

At the beginning of Covid, Detroit's distribution center was hit hard with cases. I had sent a family package to Toledo ( via priority mail ) and it took 16 days to deliver - 12 of those were spent bouncing around Detroit. About two weeks ago, I read that a distribution center that serviced all of Colorado and Wyoming (? ) had also been shut down due to Covid. SHUT DOWN! It didn't say how long it was shut down for - I read it on a Google feed. So if you are able to, I would get a scan on all of your packages right now. I realize that some people can't do this and I sympathize. I'm glad you got your scan on the diaper bag.

Mine also says nothing ever left overnight, but even pre-COVID, there have def been times it has been, mostly before a holiday weekend. I think we figured out once or they told me, they are not in the bldg, they actually go on the truck (so nothing is left in the bldg overnight) but the truck doesn't go, so same effect.

That's the Denver sort center, my sort center, you're talking about & I could be mistaken, but IIRC, they did NOT shut down. They got an order from the county to shut down do to COVID (there were even a couple of deaths), BUT they fought the order & were able to stay open, albeit with a lot less staff than usual. ETA: Saturday's pkgs went to St Paul. Jeez, that's not a good place right now.

Thats sounds like it was the one. I forgot where the article came from so I should have researched it more when I got home. I was on a trip with hubby and was scanning headlines.I just couldn't believe they would shut down a center that serviced two states
