My Walmart Neighborhood store got some gorgeous boston ferns in, $9.93 a pot. Hanging pots, probably 10" diameter but the ferns are huge. Prettiest ones I've seen in years.
So maybe other regular WM and WM Superstores got them in too?

I saw a ton of ferns yesterday at HEB so this must be the fern season.
I didn't look at the price because I don't have any place for ferns.

Fern looks that good, I FIND a place! The end of my patio by the door is sheltered - the actual end wall is a window to my office area, one wall is door to utility room, other wall is front door, and the 4th part is open to the rest of the patio. It's covered, but gets nice bright indirect light all day, so ferns do nicely there. So do Fuschia plants, but hey, the fern was available first (and cheaper) so I went with a fern this year. Looks nice with my flamingos. I thought about getting another one, I might if they're still there and look good next time I go by.

I love ferns, but it gets too hot down here for them.
Between the heat and the wind they dry out too fast and I am just not going to have something that I need to water twice a day.
I have one nice artificial one hanging from the gazebo, and the little birds seem to really like it and have made a nest in it.

Our local Kroger gets a few plants in every Spring - including some really big ferns. They stick their plants out front & don't do a very good job of taking care of them (kind of like me.) They are continuously marking them down when they start to look a little ragged. I always end up scoring huge ferns for about $4. I have a shady yard/porch/deck -so with a little water/food they come right back.
