Useful (or useless) retailer shopping tip

Do you ever shop at retailer websites where they sometimes have a scratch off or spin the wheel sort of special? With multiple discounts possible? Example, say the sale is 15%, 20%, 30% or 40% off, you scratch/spin.

If you do, and you don't like the discount you 'won', try the site on another browser. The sites I shop at, there seems to be some consistency in discount % awarded, by browser.

I consistently receive the lowest discount if shopping on Safari/Mac (don't know about Safari/Windows, haven't tried it yet). Usually I get the 20%, sometimes the 30%. Never the 40%.

I consistently receive the highest discount if shopping on Firefox/Windows, and lately, Firefox/Mac - 40% in this example. Used to be FF/Mac varied but lately it's been highest too.

Chrome (Windows or Mac) seems to vary every time, no pattern. True random discount.

I've tested it multiple times, but it's not scientific so I don't promise you'll get the same results But hey, if you don't like the discount, try again with another browser.

I was going to do the 2014 but thought maybe val wouldn't let me change my ID back as a joke and then I would be stuck with that Slappy ID forever.

I could be wrong, but I don't think admins on proboards can permanently change someone's ID.
