Just a reminder that the PO is closed on Monday February 17 for some sort of president's day thing.

Presidents Day - federal holiday. It's honoring Washington and Lincoln who both have February birthdays.

I thought it was the annual furniture sale day! Every other commercial on TV is for a furniture sale! LOL

I was so glad when I remembered this morning. A day off from going to the post office is always nice. Just need to be sure to get there extra early tomorrow morning so the drop box isn't blocked with packages.

I usually go around 10:00 am or about 4:30 p.m. The inside bin and parcel drop to the left of the bin is usually cleared out. This is the one on Main St, I'm not sure which one you go to.

I go to that one, more often than not if I don't go before 7:30 am then I run into problems. That post office seems to be pretty busy from open to close.

Do you go to the counter or just drop in the slot? They empty the inside bin and the parcel flap pretty often.

I drop in the metal drum thing, if it's full then I'll drop in the mail slots just to get them behind the dang wall. I have the opposite luck, the metal drum thing is blocked with packages half the time unless I go early. The few times I've placed packages (well actually boxes) on the counter, they haven't been scanned so I'll drive to a different post office before I'll leave packages on the counter.

Success, waked in and the sweet custodian lady said... I made sure there was room for you Val... then I stopped by Bashas and was surprised to see that they don't have fresh pre-packaged salmon. Had to settle for frozen.

I'm not a fan of Basha's at all. I will go get grapes from there when they're on sale but that's about it.

I don't go regularly but they have a few things that I can't find anywhere close by, a favorite coffee creamer and Gatorade flavor come time mind so I'm trying to get familiar with store. Sometimes I just need one thing to make dinner and since I drive right by in the morning it's a quick option. Looks like the store hasn't been updated since they opened who knows when.
