I wonder if that means the discounted $4.99 offering will stay the same? That would decrease the amount we get in payout but it would also increase the amount PM offers up (for the 6 hours they offer it, that is).

I agree about the killing sales for light things, but a first class option would just be abused, and it would drive the priority option up higher to cover the deficit - like Mercari. I'm sensing the end of the road for me on Poshmark as summer rolls around and instead of replacing the dead Etsy shop, I'll be stuck with just listing on eBay - not happy.

I think that they should have a FC option too. Who wants to pay that much for a 3 ounce top? But when I suggest it on the Posh forums, although a lot of sellers agree with me, others say that they can't because of postal insurance. I don't understand that, since Mercari can do it.

I just sent out a few offers on PM hoping someone would bite tonight before the shipping increase, and I did get a sale. It so hard to offer a discount when the price gets below $15, though, because not only are you paying the $2.95 fee, but you have to offer at least the $1.80 shipping discount. I backed out of a couple of them because of it. I don't really have enough items to offer a 3/$15 or 2/$20 deal though. Maybe a dozen things and the sizes are all over the place so it wouldn't really be desirable to anyone. Maybe down the road when I am really getting close to closing up.

But look how high the rates are for items over 2 lb on Mercari. I don't like the postage jumps, I just understand why Posh hasn't instituted a first class rate.

I know. But I seldom sell anything over 2 lbs. I have tons of FC.

That would decrease the amount we get in payout but it would also increase the amount PM offers up (for the 6 hours they offer it, that is). We will pay $2.12 if we send a private offer for discounted shipping. Most my stuff is priced too low to kick in a CCO day discount so those will have to just linger. I was reading a post in a Poshmark forum that a seller was looking for her 1099 from Poshmark for Affiliate earnings since she earned over $500. I did one campaign for $5 and it was a hassle, and I didn’t know there were that many opportunities to earn that much. That really helps seller-buyers offset shipping costs. ETA: Today is a CCO

I no longer do 'offers to likers' but do use the CCOs. The 6-hour cutoff is kind of ridiculous, though - they can at least make it 8 hours which is a natural increment (working day).
