I'm just venting so here goes. Finally decided to go for it and change the decor in the guest room. Won this Ralph Lauren duvet on 3/24. www.ebay.com/itm/321700634538?_trksid=p2059210.m2748.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AITSeller immediately sends a message that they were called expectantly out of town. They could cancel or could mail Saturday. I was good with waiting and let them know. Saturday comes and goes so I figure perhaps they meant Saturday 4/3. Friday I sent a message to confirm, no response. Wrote again today. No response. Looked at her feedback and it looks like they have dropped off the face of the earth and I'm not the only one experiencing a problem. They have also taken all their listings down. I guess I'll file thru eBay on Monday. But dang I wanted that duvet!

That stinks! You never know what happened though. Hopefully they get in tough with you. It is nice!

That's disappointing, especially if you're like me and spent a lot of time researching before deciding to buy. It's very pretty.
I feel sorry for the seller, though. Judging by their great feedback prior to this, I'm assuming something bad happened to a family member. It always makes me sad when I see a sudden turn in feedback like that.

I agree with class. I think something bad has happened in their RL and they have totally abandoned eBay for the time being. With their low FB, I hope that they won't lose their ability to sell. With the negs and people filing to get their money back, they are probably really racking up the defects.

I still haven't filed. I was hoping to hear something from them today. This was actually the 2nd one of these I purchased. I was going to use it to make pillows etc. I think I'll give it until tomorrow.

I think it's what Classring said, a personal emergency :-(.

That's scary, personal emergency could happen to any of us at any time. I have no emergency plan either

She did refund. I got a message through PayPal that eBay had tied up her money so she couldn't ship. She is still willing to sell if I send the money through PayPal.
I guess I would be foolish to send the money but I sure do want that spread. Would any one of you pay through PayPal?

Not a chance. Something is up with her.
Why would Paypal be letting some of her money go through but then tying up other money?
Another spread will come along.

So paypal froze all of her ebay funds but she wants you to send it personal so it will go through (my guess). You would have zero buyer protection doing it that way. No I wouldn't risk that much. Tell her if she gets her situation straightened out you will complete the transaction then or rebuy if she relists it, if you don't have another by then.

It looks like she been stringing quite a few people along. Her feedback is not too great.

Well her problem must be solved since she has re-listed it. I sent her a message asking if she would sell it to me for the amount I won it for before. So far crickets...

With the recent turn of events, I'd pretty ticked. Especially since it's something that you genuinely want.

If you still want it, I would just bid on the new listing.

She responded to my message and I think she is just new and has had some bad luck. I don't think she really realized that we would both loose buyer/seller protection by operating outside eBay. She agreed to sell it to me for what I originally paid and it's all taken care of. Hopefully it will get shipped this time. Once received I'll leave her glowing feedback to try and help deflect from her recent bad comments.
