Eh, he's got 48 items in his solds, and while I didn't look at all of them, one of them had the "Updated XX/XX/XX" note as Jan 17. I take that to mean that is the day it was sold (although that may not be what it's indicating) so 48 for 9 months is just OK (more than my running rate, but still just OK). But you are right, I'm surprised he sells anything with his pics and sketchy descriptions.

I'm thinking they're in-demand character T shirts? I don't keep up with pop culture much so wouldn't know.
ETA: I mean, if they ARE in demand, I'll start looking for them, but I really hate looking through men's clothing ::snore:: unless I'm looking for pants for myself, and even then, it's mostly pleat front Dockers and jeans - even the DH thinks it's boring lol.

I was trying to look at something and was seeing my updated date were several days prior to the sale date at what I was looking at. It might have changed, I haven’t listed on Poshmark for quite a while.

I'm finding Poshmark to be more and more work for less and less return. I'm on the verge of lotting up a lot of my items and offering them as reseller lots, 5 lb at a time.

I tried a reseller lot to test the water with it but got little interest. It had I think 3 Elie Tahari items and a couple of other decent brands. I went as low as $6 each but no takers.

I sold a vintage lot of 7 shirts for $23 or something - just to get them out of here. The lot sold quickly and I had already had the work done the first time around. I haven't tried any more - I was thinking of like 8 little summer shirts or something for $25. Maybe I'll just redonate.

I’m done looking stuff up or chasing comps and trending prices unless I’m really unfamiliar. If it’s a Chico’s/EF and below I’m going with my gut and what I paid. If I can fill a bag for $5 on stuff a bag day I’ll slap a price on and drop it every week or so on CCO until it’s $9 or $10. The stuff I pay reg thrift prices for will drop slower which might not be wise but I just can’t train myself to look at the big picture. Humpty and Shopping With Gina both recently revisited the .99¢ auctions. Gina ended up selling about 80 items at an average of $17.66 plus she inflated shipping. I think some she started higher. Humpty's aren’t over yet but she sent over 600 items out at 99¢ many at actual shipping. She has bids on almost 500 I think and has until Sunday. She pays a lot for her inventory so she took a big risk starting so low and she did it the second night of the big glitch. It will be interesting to see if it works again.

Both these sellers are much, much better at fashion than I am. If I start stuff at .99, I KNOW it'll end there. I'm moving stuff over, though, to my clearance ID where it's being blown out cheap with free shipping, no returns. Prices here are high so even if I redonate for a write-off, I still get about $2 per piece value at our tax bracket. We don't have stuff a bag or anything like that here, though I hit the 50% off sales and senior days which helps.
I don't purchcase anything for Posh - it's all the stuff I can't sell elsewhere so I have no money sunk into the site itself.

@kat Do you have Humpty's ebay name? I'd like to look at her auctions to see if there's anything to purchase. I know she used to be Thursday's Girl but changed it way back. Thanks!

LOL - I think they're great! With her figure she could probably get away with anything, anyway. Desire - I thought it was All My Pretty Friends but I can't remember how it was written out - can't find it in a couple of tries.

Yeah - she gets way better stuff than I can find! I'll be curious to see how things end.

Thanks Kat - will check out her stuff - I used to purchase things when she was Thursday's Girl way back for myself. She would put on some great sales.

She pays up for her inventory, uses only one source, but she has an eye for it. She has several items in this auction she paid over $50 for and she posted earlier that she hopes this experiment wasn't a mistake. Very few things she started at 99 cents were bought for under $10. She had a fire evacuation notice yesterday and it ended up being sent in error, it was a few miles away that was being evacuated. Can you imagine? Deciding to take a leap like that will all your inventory and then have to evacuate?

She has some very nice things and a lot more nerve than I have to start at .99.

She definitely has an eye, but her source must be excellent, too, because her selection is so good. Yeah, she's got more nerve than I have, but back in the day she used to launch .99 auctions every Thursday and just let them run for a week. She said packing day was manic (I think her husband helps with that). After auctions started sinking she found she made a lot more with fixed price because auctions usually end so poorly, but she may be banking on having a LOT of auctions and people bidding on multiples.
Hope it works out well (and she doesn't have to evacuate with a hundreds of pounds of inventory!).

I called it an experiment but her main goal is to clear out this stuff. She’s not one to hold her inventory for several months unless it’s a high ticket item. Her asp is $40 and she’s counting on auctions bringing half that.

I must be doing something wrong. I tried to look up humptys listings under allmyprettyfriends and saw one listing for a lands end sweater.

I think most of her listings have ended. I was watching two items that I was going to bid on and then forgot about them. Both have ended.

I must be doing something wrong. I tried to look up humptys listings under allmyprettyfriends and saw one listing for a lands end sweater. Everything ended last night. She sent all her items to 99¢ ten day all at once. If she has something listed it might be a re-list someone canceled?

Wow - some of those prices are real heartbreakers. She’s happy with the results and the heartbreakers average out with the ones with multiple bids. Not too bad considering she moved about 600 things out that she no longer wanted to look at, covered fees, investment and expenses with a few thousand in her pocket to put toward fresh inventory. All in ten days (plus 5 days to ship).

That reminds me of my first few clothing listings. I sold other things before but not clothes. I had an outfit, I think my title was Women's Outfit. I had one picture of jeans folded and t-shirt open next to it. I used my son's toy digital nickelodeon camera which looked like it was shot through Vaseline. I described it something like Levis size 10 and Pepsi logo tee. I had a few other listings just as bad that had bids and I didn't think anything of it until I got a sickly sweet message asking me all kinds of questions, but in a "tell me why I would want to buy these" and it was the best passive aggressive message I ever received. Light bulb moment. At least this seller has good pictures.

The shoe pictures are OK, but the clothing photos are awful - laid out wrinkled on an unmade bed. Reminds me of that Stones song!
