Someone offered $25 on a pair of boots I have at $40. I countered at $35, and they countered at $30. I would like to counter again at $35 to let them know that's the lowest I will go right now. Do you think it's ok to do that or should I just decline (or let it time out)?

I’d counter with $35 and let them know that’s the lowest you can go. Remember on Poshmark when they put in an offer, they’ve already gone through all the steps to enter payment. I think that makes people more agreeable because they’ve already made that decision.

I didn't realize they had already gone through steps to enter the payment--could have been said before but there was a lot to absorb so I missed it. To let her know, the only way I could figure to do it was to create a bundle for her (someone mentioned doing that in a previous thread). Is that how you would have done it? Thanks for all your help.

I did not know this either. Thanks for the heads up.

Thanks for the info. I stick to my lowest price even if I have to repeat it.

I did this recently (repeated my lowest price a second time) and she came back with a dollar more. I let her offer expire.
Sometimes lowballers are just that: lowballers.
In your buyer's case, I think she is negotiating well.
Mine came up from $10 to $11 to $12. I went to my bottom price on the first counter and repeated it on the second offer. When she came up another $1, I realized it wasn't worth my time.
If you counter a second time at the same price and she keeps trying to negotiate, do yourself a favor and forgetaboutit. She'll get the hint and reoffer later at the correct price.

I don't give a lot of wiggle room. I have finally settled on a pricing method. If something will net me $30 on eBay after all of the fees, I price the item at $35 on Posh and my other sites. So then I know that I can go down $5 to net the same profit as if it sold on eBay. And that also gives a somewhat fair price for the buyers who just buy outright.
