It looks like a good deal. You can only cash out $500 max. a month, but you get paid instantly on your debit card.

Val I believe they only paid through your checking account, which took several business days. I only started selling for the first time, a few days ago. I sold 2 items and one is already completed and ready to cash out.
It take approx. 4 days for the initial sign up. You have to use the app though. I am going to do it tomorrow.
So far so good on Mercari!

@catcookielover - who are you on mercari? I had three sales right away then the new user boost went away and its been super slow, but I think I need some hints from other people on better ways to work the site. I'm chaosrising.

I only first listed a few items last week, and sold 3 like you. I list a few every week, see what happens. I think the search is definitely messed up on there. Hope they improve it soon. Chap have you tried consignment? I am sending another box to TRR this week. I have some expensive coats, will send those in a month. It's nice having someone else do the work for a change and getting paid once a month. You can do direct deposit, or they will send you a check. www.mercari.com/u/224034080/

I'd love to send all of that stuff out to consignment, but I don't really have anything to consign - I rarely get designer pieces in (and I don't know anything about the 'luxury market' even if I could find items) and sell mostly world clothing, unusual items and basics, some vintage. I don't think it's anything that TRR etc., would want, though I can investigate it again.
Buffalo Exchange and Thred-Up haven't worked well lately so I gave up on them - may take a pile of stuff into BE in Portland, though, as I have a pretty good idea of what they sell. If you send it in it goes to the central office somewhere and they *say* that they accept vintage and 'unusual' items but they didn't take any of mine save for one coat, which they gave me $10 for.

Now that I closed Etsy I'll concentrate more on Mercari - it's not going to do much good if I don't put any effort into it, but I can only juggle so much at a time.

Those of you with high enough sales to worry about internet sales tax - keep in mind Mercari does not collect marketplace facilitator taxes and sales to those states will be your responsibility once you hit that state's minimum limit (if you hit it that is).
