Just to show how slow these methods are..
One package from TN to Vernon, CA, then redirected back to PHX. Will arrive next Tuesday, hopefully. Another package from NC, shipped on same day but straight UPS to AZ is being delivered tomorrow.
I've started commenting in FB I leave when a seller uses one of these shipping methods.

I absolutely hate them. The FedEx and UPS trucks drive past my home to their hubs, then drive by again to go 150 miles north and drop off at the postal hub, then the post office sends it down to my distribution center to be delivered the next day. All in all, 2-3 days longer than it should take if they had sent either by post office or ups/fedex.

I've started emailing retailers too, once my package arrives.

Oh joy. Just discovered three more retailers who use the damn smartpost. Used to be if you ordered with delivery to the store, it came regular UPS. Not now. I hate to pay for "expedited" shipping with a retailer, but I may start doing that. Two week shipping, on top of the 2-4 days it takes for the retailer to process your order, sucks. eBay sellers do a heck of a lot better than that.
