Ok you may already know this trick but I had no idea. I was looking at reviews for those pet hair removers that float in your washing machines the other day. When I came across a Instagram video about a woman talking about removing pet hair from her furniture with one of these www.walmart.com/ip/Great-Value-Home-Squeegee/641956268 sounded crazy but you just basically squeegee your furniture with it and takes the hair right off. Suppose to work tons better than those rubber brushes or the lint brushes.
I figured I had nothing to lose so I picked one up today and OMG it's true. I didn't think I had much pet hair on my couch because I keep fleece throws on it and wash them every other day. Didn't really see much hair but the cushion the dog sleeps on, had a bunch on it, this thing piled it right up in a cute fluffy pile. The rest of the couch didn't have much but still had more than I thought it would on it. My ottoman is impossible to clean, it's down filled and everything sticks to the fabric, I need to make a cover for it but even the rubber brushes won't clean it so it always look hairy and dirty. A few swipes with the squeegee and it looks brand new, tossed the dirty fluff ball in the trash and boom done. Then I wondered if it would work on the area run that the dog woolies on all day long. It's the only rug in the house other than the little bath room rugs. So I plopped down in the middle and went to work. 5 minutes later I had a hairball about the size of a yorkie and now you can run your hand over it and not get any hair at all on you. I even laid down in my black hoodie and only got a couple little hairs. Couldn't do that even after the best vacuuming job.
Bella is blowing her winter coat right now and I can't afford to take her in to get her shaved down just yet so this is going to be a life saver. Not sure if it would work on clothing since it would be hard to keep it tight. I bet it would work on heavier things like jackets but probably not light clothing. Maybe a mini one would work (do they make those?).
Anyways you guys might already know this tip but if not, now you do. I'm going to buy a couple more just in case one breaks don't want to risk being without it now that I know it works so well on her hair.
