Like a shop of just random tee shirts, nothing else. I pass up so many nice tees and some are awesome but I really don't want my regular store filled with a bunch of tee shirts especially since a lot of them are hilarious but a bit naughty LOL. Others are just really cool tees from various places or concerts, vintage tees etc. I can get them for less than $1 each so not much of a risk. Wondering if Mercari or some place that doesn't charge a listing fee would be better than Ebay.

I used to have a store called TenDollarTees and sold them all for $10 with free shipping. Honestly, if I sold clothing again, I'd probably just do tees alone but call it 12DollarTees.
I got anything that was cool and cheap. I sold ones that I never thought would sell and ones that I thought were cool didn't. I'd definitely get any concert ones, Nike, funny sayings anything like that. If you can get them for a buck or two, you can afford to have a few duds.

I'd use Mercari or Poshmark.

Would you keep it on Ebay or Mercari, I don't want to double post them. Or do one on each, with separate inventory on each, I could easily source enough for a small store on a couple of sites. The regular shirts like Nike, Adidas etc I put in my store now, this would be just for all the themed tees. I wasn't sure if concert tees would be worth it or not, I knew certain bands did ok but maybe I should just grab the ones I see. Surely someone listens to them.
Most I'd pick up at the bin store, they are $1.39 a pound there so less than $1 for a shirt. Others I can pick up on the .99 color at GW, but I haven't shopped regular GW in 6 months, I find so much at the bins I haven't needed to.

Chap can you do just generic brand tees on Posh? I thought it was for more upscale items.

You can sell any kind of clothing and accessories on Posh. Tradesy is the foo-foo site. I see T shirt sellers do well there - the fact that you can get them so cheaply makes it more realistic to sell on Posh - the only drawback is that's a lot of work to keep sharing, but again, funky fun T shirts would be a good pick.
Mercari is easy and cheap, only 10% fees, and they have cheap under 16 oz labels.

Maybe Tradesy is the one I was thinking of, oldest DD will probably be helping a lot with running the t-shirt shop so it needs to be as simple as possible. She hasn't sold anything before, though she's helped me, she said she wants to start helping with a single item store to get a feel for it. Mercari sounds like it would be the easiest for her to help with.
I'm hoping the girls can take over all the photography, it's been killing my back. If they can handle the photos I can do everything else and listing should go much faster.

On the band tees do I need to worry about it if they are printed generic t-shirts? I see a lot of them on the links that are, so I guess they are ok, but I thought I remembered a lot were pulled because they weren't "official" band shirts before. Maybe that's only for certain bands? I need to look into that.

While the true concert band shirts are the most worth it, there are a lot of people who wants shirts from their favorite bands in general. I can't even count how many band t-shirts Tanner has; mostly grunge like Nirvana, Soundgarden, etc. I personally would buy any 80's hair rock band shirts if they were priced right.

LOL - Tanner has similar musical tastes to mine.
The only issue is to differentiate between actual era T-shirts (can be worth a lot) and replica T-shirts - I think as long as that's clear, as Jeremy says, people will buy their favourite bands, brands, graphics, etc.

It's similar to cycling jerseys - there are the actual era jerseys (say, early 80s pre-Elf Renault jersey is worth about $50-60, but the newer replica ones put out by World Jerseys may go for about $20 on the used market). Or an early era wool racing jersey which has survived until now will be worth more than a newer same-team jersey. But people still want jerseys from their favourite teams and they'll wear a replica.

You get a free Terepeak subscription now with your store. Use it to see what is selling. You can also do a simple search on completed then completed/sold on eBay to get a good idea of what is selling now.
