For $16.99 they'll expedite but also if you send in spring items they'll bump processing up.
I did not do well with Thredup before but I have stuff I don't want to list. I printed my own label. I was torn abut having items returned but paid the $10.99

Seems like after all the optional fees that we're giving stuff to them for free. And if you don't opt for them it takes forever to get any money.

@sue, how do they know it's spring stuff? Is there a way for you to let them know or do they open the bags to determine? When I was sending in, I tried to do it seasonally. I'm considering sending in another bag of relatively lower priced items. I don't like how the 15 or 20% discount to customers affect the higher priced items (it hits the seller hard when the price goes from one payout percentage to another percentage), but for the lower priced items it doesn't hurt as much.

somany When I went into print the label they had a pop up that stated they'd expedite if spring items were sent in. Alternately, you pay for expedited service. my box was indeed processed quickly-I sent a bunch of old (mainly NWT) items in and the payout was miserable. I took the cash payout which was a whopping $40. I had a couple of Laura Ashley baby rompers from 10 yrs. ago-they paid $.50 or so. NWT BR (ugly) maxi dress paid approx. $1.50 or so. It was stuff I had no interest in listing and I didn't want to deal with it languishing on their site. I sent a few nice items (NWT J Crew top, Eli Tahari jacket) and the payout was also abysmal. Pantlandia I think their practices are deceptive and opted for the $10.99 return (not because I wanted those items back). I was afraid if I didn't they'd refuse everything and keep it. The payouts are a joke and I don't want to send them my better things.

I've washed my hands of Thred-Up - I don't have luxe or designer things for them (getting the stuff here to begin with costs more than thred-up pays and I don't know anything about it anyway) which I suspect is where the money is. My last payout was $20 - I can do better just writing the stuff out of my inventory.
