I am a no returns seller.
Went in and looked. Measurements were listed. Said no returns in IS and in the body of the listing. I check to make sure I didnt somehow make a mistake and it did say it was a return listing. I denied the return.
when I denied it, Ebay asked why I denied it. It said that the buyer wouldnt see that part, it was just for Ebay. I said, BECAUSE I AM A NO RETURNS SELLER AND THE MEASUREMENTS WERE IN THE LISTING!
Stupid ebay.

They get stupider every day and every day they seem to be pushing returns even harder.

Same thing. I also added that eBay has made it too difficult to do a courtesy return without forfeiting either FVF or original shipping, which I didn't feel I should be liable for on a fit issue and noted that they buyer also sold and could resell the item themselves. I've never been a returner, even in a retail situation, on eBay my expectation has always been to just resell it if it doesn't work for me.
ETA I also don't believe them that the buyer can't see what you wrote. They may not get an email with it, but I bet if they click see details it is right there.

I think that if you're a no returns seller and a buyer makes a return request for fit, a big red popup should appear flashing on their screen that reads:
YOUR SELLER DOES NOT ACCEPT RETURNS LEARN HOW TO READ!

The problem is that Ebay offers it to them anyhow. This was a $75 dress and I felt bad because she probably got it to wear for Easter. I thought about taking the return for about 30 seconds and then was like, THIS is why I went to no returns. Because I dont want this stuff back. I dont care how much it cost THEM. I need money in MY pocket.

Lord! just got this email from Ebay. I dont know if I should laugh or be irate. I so wish I could respond to it.
Dear mupcycledcouture,
It looks like you recently received a return request from one of your buyers. The good news is our streamlined returns process makes handling return requests easier and more efficient than ever.
The simple steps:
1. When you’re notified of a request, just go to Returns in My eBay or click the link in your notification. From there, you’ll be guided through the return—and can keep an eye on its progress. 2. Once you accept the return, instruct your buyer to print a label on eBay—or send them one through My eBay messages. If you do send a label, remind your buyer to upload tracking for the return so that you can both follow its progress. 3. When you receive the return, check it carefully. If it’s okay, just click “issue a refund” from the Return Details under Returns in My eBay. And don’t forget—you’re protected by eBay’s item condition policy. 4. Once the refund’s been issued, your final value fees will be credited automatically—and you can relist the returned item for free.
If you need to first communicate with your buyer to work things out, you can use the “reply to buyer” option in your notification email to send your buyer a message or contact the buyer via My eBay. In the rare case there’s an issue with a return, it’s best to try and work it out with your buyer first. Then, if you’re unable to reach a resolution, you can always ask eBay to step in and help.
Learn more about how returns work on eBay—and be sure to check out our proven best practices for reducing returns. As always, thank you for selling on eBay.
Sincerely,
The eBay Selling Team

Forward it to spoof@ebay.com. Because you're no returns, so it HAS to be a fake email, right?

I will be NO RETURNS until the last second eBay tells me I can't. And I will always stick my ground on that. Period. I think eBay is trying to push us all to take returns so they can coddle all their buyers. There are plenty of sellers on eBay that take returns. If it is that important to a buyer to want to be able to return what they're buying--more power to them--they can buy the item from someone else. This is business. I won't have hurt feelings over it! Sorry, I ranted in your thread. But I feel better now. Thank you

No Returns until my last listing ends whenever that may be.
If somebody is already looking ahead to returning, they can buy from somebody else.

I'm willing to make an exception if the need arises on an individual basis, but NOT if it involves eBay interference.

And Ebay probably sent a message similar to below when I denied the return:
The big bad mean seller says no returns. However you can still return the item if you make something up something is wrong with your item. Please ask us to step in!
