...and then doesn't seem to know what to do with it. www.marketplacepulse.com/articles/no-christmas-at-jetI don't think this 'affluent urban millennial focus' is going to work. My family is filled with millennials, some even with money, and they would never order Blue Apron and all this other business - they go down the street to the store or out to the pub/restaurant, or they like Whole Foods or go to a farmer's market (or order pizza lol). And the urban shopper has stores right at hand, and probably know the store owner and employees. City neighbourhood stores tend to stock what their local customers like - I know, I lived in town for about 35 years. Seems like they should have kept with their original and apparently successful formula.

Most of the early traffic was Kritter scoring deals on cat litter.

Yeah - I read about the new train line they had to establish with a spur to her house - they couldn't move the cat litter any other way.

I am banned from Jet because I used too many email addresses at the beginning to get the great new buyer discounts. They finally caught up with me and my house is on their "Do Not Ship" list.
Now I buy from Chewy that has much better pricing on cat stuff.

That's the real reason jet.com is dying. It's not smart to piss off crazy cat ladies when they are some of your best customers

Kidding aside, I think Walmart bought it with the idea to eventually shut it down. Less competition.
