Not making it public yet, though, since I don't know what the heck I'm doing half the time.

Congratulations! I am too, but don't know what the heck it means or what to do with it. I just want to sell stuff...not ambassadorize!

The DH says I can now claim diplomatic immunity. They turned down my request for a private plane, though. We get tips and newsletters, and some marketing perks, I believe - that may be very worthwhile. There's actually a bunch of criteria to meet so pat yourself on the back, sunsetpainter! I think we both started about the same time, or actually I think I may have started later than you did but not much. At any rate, we haven't been doing it for that long so, good on us!

You get followers. A lot of followers automatically assigned. Remember when you started you were following people but hadn’t done anything yet? I don’t remember what gives you access to buy in the “wholesale” area, but I’m thinking I got it with Ambassador.
The newsletters I’ve received have a lot of info about meetups and how to be an affiliate. I think you also get a heads up when they will have posh swag closet pop up sales. Im not in the market to buy any of it, but it sells out fast so knowing ahead of time is great for those who are.

I actually already have access to wholesale, I just had to sign up and I think fulfill some criteria or other - I can't remember, I did it when I was sitting in a teriyaki take-out waiting lol. I'm turning that over as I used to purchase from wholesale some time back, but most of the things for sale on Posh's wholesale I don't know much about (i.e., desirability, etc) so I need to bone up on that.

The thing about Posh’s wholesale is that it isn’t cheap and you don’t get dibs for exclusivity. You end up with a bunch of sellers selling the same items and the ones that market themselves on social media are the ones moving stuff. Brilliant on Poshmark’s part though.
ETA: I just looked up. Access to wholesale is after 10 sales and a 4.5+ rating.

I made ambassador a few weeks ago, but haven't received any special newsletters yet. Sales haven't increased at all.
Congrats Chap!!! You wear it well!

You end up with a bunch of sellers selling the same items and the ones that market themselves on social media are the ones moving stuff. Brilliant on Poshmark’s part though. That was exactly my thought - and it is brilliant on the part of Poshmark because they're big enough as an entity that they can open up the wholesale market to their site users which are mostly smaller operations. I used to be able to buy from wholesale because I had fleshworld sources like that where I could purchase directly from wholesalers in smaller amounts, but those are gone now (they tended to congregate in the industrial south of town in disused warehouses). The alternative is often skids and that's a TON of stuff, and you take what they give you. I do have one wholesaler I use but they're not cheap and I have to compete with a couple of big sellers on eBay - the whole deal is to get OFF eBay but I'm only investing as much time in this as I need to anymore and don't have the will to build up another business from the ground.

I have a note in my header that I am one, but I don't descend on newbies offering to help them (which I think is more of a "look at me" thing anyway) or anything else to promote myself as a Posh expert. I never check email so no idea if I get newsletters. I get tons of followers every day even when I'm not active.

I'm not getting tons of followers yet - I'm looking forward to that because all of them so far are organic - I share a lot and the followers are steadily building, but it's a lot of work.

Strutting on in myself... I made it last night! Has anyone noticed any increase in sales?

YAY Rhonda! I haven't gotten any increases, and you are selling more than I am. Lately I have been pricing my stuff on there and Mercari the same as on eBay. If I price it a little higher, they lowball down about 75% which is crazy. I am stubborn and won't accept it. When I first started I had a lot of bundles of a lot of stuff. Maybe since I was new they thought that I was dumb? (Well, I am I guess). But I digress. Now I get very few bundles.

The more I list and share, and the more likes I get on items, the more I share. I have a lot of oddball stuff though (as usual) so YMMV - for instance, this is what I sold over the weekend - all kind of obscure stuff, so I'm not sure if I'm selling because it's obscure or I'm a Posh ambassador or I share a lot?!

I'm getting a LOT of newbies following me now. That's the only thing I have noticed.
