Proof that I will do anything to avoid work some days

I'm at my laptop editing photos. There is a window behind me with the accordi0n pleat blinds drawn to keep out the direct sunlight I get this time of day. The blinds just barely filter the light. They're sheer enough that you can see the shadow of the tree branches outside. And birds flying by.
So I look up to see the cat intently studying the shadows. If he crossed the room to the french door looking out over the back yard he could clearly see the birds eating the stale bread I put out there before I started on the pictures. But he seems mesmerized by the shadows of them flying back and forth. He crouches in his stalking position and wiggles his little butt, ready to pounce (in case one actually breaks through the blind and flies into the room I guess). After a few minutes the feeding is over and he's back to watching the tree branches in the breeze.
So I go outside and spend 15 minutes making hand shadow puppets on the other side of the window.
I will either do anything to avoid work or my cat is really spoiled.
