I'm researching a Burberry London cashmere scarf in an unusual colorway- lemon yellow with green & purple plaid lines. The only one I found was listed via a Google search is on Posh for $150. What's their process to make sure a designer brand item is authentic? I don't list there so don't know the drill. TIA :-)

There is no process. It's full of fakes. However, if you buy something for over $500, it will get shipped to Posh first where *experts* authenticate it, inspect it for flaws, and ship it to the buyer.

Items $500 and over are the only items that are sent to Poshmark before being forwarded on to the buyer. I don’t know how they handle return requests for non-authentic purchases.

Thanks- I was hoping that Posh had "dome my research" for me; guess I'd better keep at authenticating the scarf. Sorry to hear they're full of fakes too. And I wish I'd find a Burberry scarf in a color that I wear- the color yellow isn't a friend of mine when it's by my face.

Post it over on the Ebay CAB or Fashion Board or whatever it is called with pics of all the tags etc.
They can at least call it fake or not or suggest authentication if on the line.

Yes, all except the first one which is a much wider but the same plaid. It's a lovely scarf!
