I spot an ear so she can hear.

Cassie does this all the time, she 'docks' herself where she can lean her head up on something - even a fold of quilt. She's using her sister for that - Jamie just snoozes away.

BTW, Cassie is doing amazingly after we almost lost her last winter. We're still giving her every other day subcu fluids and her various vitamin powders, etc., and she's acting like a kitten - she's even back to jumping on top of things, knocking them over and walking around yelling. She used to drive me crazy with her noise but now it's like music. She turns 17 in February.

Cats breathe through their tails.

Cassie snores when she sleeps, so she even has a noisy tail lol. I was joking that everything she does is noisy - you can even hear her trotting around on the kitchen linoleum - tap tap tap tap tap - she follows me like a little dog when she wants something, making odd clucking noises, and they both try to herd me - they have NO sense of personal space, bumping my legs to get me to go places, similar to a herding dog.

One of the CCL Advanced Level tests is identifying a cat by the sound of its footsteps.
