I don't mind some of the styled photos, but I hate the ones where you have to guess what's actually for sale. And her closet is just too busy with all of those 3 and 4 part photos, not easy to browse through.

It is a big enough effort for me to take pics of stuff on a hanger. If I had to search around for stuff to add to the pic, nothing would ever get done.
I must be in the minority who just wants to see a pic of what I am thinking about purchasing. Not all the fluff and nutter, just the item.

Most of the Posh photos are fine, but there's a whole subsection of identical 'flat lays' with the usual random objects scattered around, and then the attempts at styling which mostly are a little odd. Some are ridiculous, though. That seller is ridiculous - there's so much rubbish all over the place I can't figure out what's going on.

I'll throw a pair of heels next to a dress once in a while, but that's about as fancy as I usually get. I did breakdown and buy the ubiquitous furry white rug and fake succulent plant which I use with shoes and smaller items sometimes. I don't really think it makes a difference, but I like the way it looks with certain things.

The outfit pictures are good for Pinterest but i feel the same way. There is enough crap laying around here as it is I'm not dragging out more. If i get pants on the manni before photographing tops I'm calling it good.

I guess I am from a mindset that is not into all the cutesy of whatever you want to call the "staging".
I just don't get the fluffy white rugs or the little plants or the necklaces that I don't own scattered around whatever I thought I might want.
Just give me the pic of the item like the online retail stores do and be done.
That being said, I am sure there are just as many buyers that like the staging so it's all good.

I have a fluffy white rug in my bathroom, so that look automatically makes me think they're photographing on the bathroom floor.
Well done outfit posts will get pinned/repinned a lot amd pins show up on google image searches so that's good for exposure.
I like styling and arranging but still no desire to do it for posh.

I'm kind of the last person to do any staging - if it was some kind of punk or machine-head site, sure. But I mistrust my instincts on something like this. As long as I can see the item clearly, it's OK - it bothers me when I can't.

Extra points if you add a little pumpkin.

Or you can use a shower curtain in the background and stick a sneaker in the sleeve!
