I'm not expecting fast and furious sales, but it's nice to have another place to sell. I've gotta be on my toes though, because I'm double listing stuff there and on Ebay, and a few from Etsy too. Need to be sure to take the item off the other sites if it sells on Poshmark.

Yay! And thanks for sharing my stuff!
I just made my first purchase since I was offered free shipping. Chico's Travelers, of course.

I gotta learn me Poshmark... Congrats! It's super fast to list there. I'm not crazy about the sharing stuff, but listing is breeze, especially compared to eBay I share about 20 minutes a day split into 2-3 sessions during the day when apparently traffic is higher. On days when I list (every other day usually) I spend about 40 minutes altogether on the site. Listing is WAY faster, yes.

I didn’t list on PM today, but I did time my sharing using my stopwatch since I was curious how much time I was spending there. It was just under 9 minutes to share to followers and the current party. In about an hour I’ll go back and reciprocate any shares and time that.
I’d say without listing, dealing with offers or sales, I probably spend 1/2 hour per day there. I’m not getting rich but sell one or two things a day lately.
I don’t have a lot cross posted, but I find I’m ending eBay listings that sell on PM a lot more than the other way around. This is telling me that I should focus on PM more than eBay, but because eBay needs regularly fed I’ll probably cross post more. They take more commission, but it’s so nice to not worry about shipping calculations, returns, etc., and after three days it’s all my money.

Woooooooooo! Finally got a sale, too. I hadn't checked offers since yesterday (still new at this and didn't remember)and had one hour to go on this one. It was a low offer ($9 on a $16 item probably worth closer to $9 lol) but I need to get some stuff sold and go through the process so I learn it, so I took it.
I'm finally finding my way around a bit better - I have all these shops I'm juggling so it's been tough to cover all of them, but I'm spending less time on Etsy (just listing once a day) so I can do better on Posh.

Congrats too all who have had success on posh. One of these days I'll probably wander in there too and learn the ropes. I'm dropping etsy--things seem to sell faster on ebay but I haven't even been listing lately.

I'm moving stuff from Etsy to eBay - not sure what's going on with Etsy, but in a way its always been an oddball place to sell and it's getting kind of eBay-esque with Josh at the helm.

I mostly sell stuff I've made on Etsty. It's just so hit-or-miss when it comes to sales for me. I will go for weeks without any "likes", conversations, questions, or sales then I'll get 3 in one day. No rhyme or reason.

Looking at my stats over months, I think our shops are rotated in and out of visibility. The criteria for this rotation may depend on a lot of things, but when someone like myself who lists pretty much daily sees a flurry of sales every 4 days, and this goes on for months, that tells me something.

I'm signed up there, just don't have a lot of time to futz wit it right now.

I have tried it - I'm in a group with CindyDoesStats and we talk about testing, stats, etc. She's of the opinion that Etsyrank (erank) free is worth playing with but it's not worth purchasing the plan because it doesn't break down the long tail keywords as well. I actually think it IS worth futzing with at least.

I gave up on Etsy for vintage a while ago but now it seems it's well beyond vintage, supplies, and (purportedly) hand crafted-I use a mild chemical face mask occasionally and was looking it up on the internet for some additional info. Saw it on Etsy under handmade-it's fairly large company called Skinmedica.

Etsy is full of resale stuff, Chinese drop shipped stuff (the last two items I got), etc. Once they opened up to other manufacturers, the abuse exploded. With ex-eBayer Josh in charge, I don't see it getting much better. He's all about the 'fast, cheap and ships free'. I'm blowing out a lot of my shop at 50% off and just keeping my 'best' vintage in a smaller shop there.

I'm closing down on Posh. No sales. For less work and less time listed, I get more sales on eBay. I'm going to try shopify/eBay/FB combo instead.

Val - I had to list and share like mad to get any traction. I think it just depends on if it's worth the time for what one is selling, price points, etc. I'll admit to listening to sword n' sandals audiobooks and spending a couple of hours a day on Posh, every other day at any rate, though yesterday I listed 24 items. And all the sharing etc. I'm trying to get to 10,000 followers and I think for most of us there will be a number we really have to reach - for me it'll be higher than others because I don't have a lot of trendy brands (though I do have some) so I need to reach a wider audience.
Those are just my impressions so far - I'm still really a neophyte at this.

I still get sales on eBay. My niche is still selling. So if I'm going to share and get followers and spend hours doing that, I'd rather do it for my eBay store. IMO. YMMV.

I'm trying something new. In addition to sending my listings to my FB biz page, I've decided to send related listings from you guys too. Things like other plus size clothing, accessories, etc. I'm going on the assumption that followers on FB are following because they want to see what you have, not because they want numbers. This would make the FB feed a more useful selling tool. So I thought what might make it interesting to any followers I had is if I also posted related bargains from other sellers. I figured it can't hurt.

Well you’d never know if you hadn’t tried if it would work for you or not. I’ve taken over a week off from both except for some re-lists on eBay and reciprocating a few shares on Poshmark. Posh sales exceeded eBay so I plan on continuing to feed both. I prefer Poshmark for ease of use and no returns, but eBay is like a comfortable shoe I still slip on first despite the soles being worn out and the laces being broken.

but eBay is like a comfortable shoe I still slip on first despite the soles being worn out and the laces being broken. eBay still far outstrips my Posh sales, but I'm just getting started, really, on Posh. I'm up to 181 listings there, but I think it's the sharing that really does the trick - I have 4500 followers and that's really, in the grand scheme of things, not that many. I'm just trying to get over 200 listings there - I think that will help, then I'll just do 5 a day and spend the other 1 1/2 hours with marketing, and that's it - I enjoy lectures, podcasts, audiobooks, etc. while I'm doing it. I've been checking solds in relation to followers, and there's a direct correlation unless one is carrying super trendy brands. I had a Lip Service PVC dress that didn't even last a day on Posh.

Compared to Tradesy, my Poshmark sales are so much better. I've been on it for just at a month now and I've sold more than in 3 years on Tradesy. I'll keep on double listing on Posh and Ebay for now.

Tradesy is dead and bloated as far as I'm concerned. I haven't even bothered with it - even when I had about 130 listings on there sales were just really slow. Maybe I made $1800 in the last three years there? Granted, you do get more on there than eBay with the cheapskates, but it's still few and far between at least for me, particularly now that I'm not listing. There's only so much I can do.

I sold 2 items today. Took 1/2 price offers but I made money on both and I just want this stuff gone.
