I had my first sale on Poshmark! My price was $115, she offered $45 (yeah, that's not happening) I just declined. She offered $55, I countered at $90 and we settled on $75. I probably could have gotten more had I waited but I needed the money now.
So, now what? I have no idea what I am supposed to do! I assume I will get a notification when she pays. Will there be a link to print shipping? Will the money go to paypal? I *think* that's how I set it up.

She’s already paid. The shipping label is in your email.

The label is Priority up to 5lbs. Poshmark allows them to be used on RR and Flat rates, but I suggest not. Not all postal workers will know what Poshmark is or their deals with USPS. After the buyer receives it, they have three days to accept it. After that it’s auto accepted. Your funds will then be available and you can either request a check or have a direct deposit to your bank. PayPal is not an option even though buyers can pay with PP.

The nice thing about Poshmark is there are no non-payers. They have to commit to buy to send an offer. There’s a cancel option, but most don’t cancel. The bummer is how long to wait for funds. Some accept right away but it seems more don’t bother. I just transfer once a week and that’s made me not pay attention to the waiting period anymore.

Well I found a place that says "my balance" and it says 0. It's not in paypal either. (oh I see where you said no paypal).
If she has already paid why is my balance 0?
You totally lost me with this though: "The bummer is how long to wait for funds. Some accept right away but it seems more don’t bother. I just transfer once a week and that’s made me not pay attention to the waiting period anymore"

She paid Poshmark. As soon as she accepts or three days after it’s delivered, you can redeem. In your balance it should say pending.

Yay! I gave up on my old Poshmark shop - I do think it was tethered to my lost and gone Facebook page. Just started another and need to link it with the web app.

I was kind of shocked at how much they take as commission (I made $60 on this $75 sale) but I have to keep reminding myself I don't have to pay paypal fees.

No Paypal fees and there's a lot of other hassle taken out of it, too.

I had another sale through Posh! This was just a b&b but even with their high fees I got more for it than I would have on ebay. A Saturday/Sunday dress I got 22 for.

Posh is so much easier than Ebay, it's worth the higher commission. Congrats!

WTG Delta! I love Poshmark, and I don't mind the high commission in exchange for not worrying about NPBs or feedback.

OK, I'm ready to go. Since its been so long I'm going to review all the Posh threads here and then start listing. I'll post the link - I have so many stores and shops I'm running out of link space - I need to just put them all on my chapeaunoir.com website.

You can have as many links as you like, but if you personally don't want a huge bunch, I'd conside adding Posh and dumping the Tradesy link. Seems like Posh is doing better for most folks.

Congrats I just went through you Posh closet, and I have a few tips, if you don't mind: 1) SHARE your own stuff at least two times a day, in the morning and at night. It pushes your stuff to the very top of search results. If you don't share, it ends up in the 29th page of it. 2) You don't follow people. Follow people. Just open the followers list of some big seller and spend 10 minutes following everyone, do it from the phone, it's faster. 3) Target sharing: find item just like yours and share/follow everyone who commented on that item (active or sold), they go to your closet to return the favor and first thing they see is that item they were/are interested in (make sure to keep those items on top). My posh sales dropped. Probably has to do with me overpricing the hell out of everything, and people don't even bother with offers, I gotta lower prices.

Great advice @makinmagic You have to put some time into it every day. There are different methods people swear by. You can google the 30 minute method and the ENL method or watch some YouTube videos from more popular closets.
Mine has been slow too, but it seems every eBay group I’m in, the majority of clothing sellers have been discussing after the IS changes, they are double listing on Poshmark and mercari.
I have discounted everything so low on the majority of things so I need to end and re-list a bunch. It works a lot of the time. I had an item that I kept reducing all the way to $9. I re-listed it the other day and it sold for $19 the next day.

I'm still assembling listings for Poshmark. I want to get at least 25-30 items up before I start sharing, although I *have* started following.

Just start sharing as you go. You’ll want to accumulate followers so they can share it with everyone in their feed. Like the old Faberge Organics commercial....and they’ll tell two friends, and they’ll tell two friends. There’s no reason to wait.

@makinmagic. Do you share each item singly? Or is there a bulk share option?

@makinmagic . Do you share each item singly? Or is there a bulk share option? No, there's no bulk share options. You have to do it one by one. It's not that bad. It takes me maybe 8 minutes to share my 250+ items. I do all this stuff while listening to my podcasts.

Thanks Makin!
Another question please. Do you all end your eBay listings to put them on Posh? I know that it would be a very rare occurrence to sell the same item on both sites at once, though.

So, after reading this thread, I took a look at Poshmark. If I'm understanding their policy correctly, any item sold for over $500 gets sent to Poshmark for authentication, and then they send it on to the buyer. My question is: If the buyer decides to return it, does it go back to Poshmark so they can make sure it's the same item? Because that would be a really great service, right?

If it went through Posh Authenticate, then I doubt they would even allow a return.
