We want sellers to focus on reducing the preventable returns and not worry about disputing every claim.Sorry, eBay, but we're still going to call and harass you report the scamming buyers. Hopefully we'll even encourage more sellers to report instead of rolling over and giving in to the scamming buyer. And we want ebay to focus on reducing the preventable scammers so they won't have to worry about sellers disputing every claim. I know! A little commonsense would result in a win/win situation for both eBay and its users.

Was watching Kathy Terrill's video and she mentioned increased FVF for books and DVDs and said it wasn't a big deal. So, I checked out the update and found it is books, DVDs and also music including CDs. All jumping up to 12% for store and non-store sellers. Sure, not a big deal except my margins on these are super slim already and an additional 2.85% makes it even slimmer. Throw in the changes to the INR metrics and SCM is pretty much done for...
Media price increase Starting September 15, 2018, the final value fees for Books, and DVDs & Movies categories will increase from 9.15% to 12% for Store subscribers and from 10% to 12% for non-Store sellers.
Starting September 15, 2018, the final value fees for the Music category will also increase from 9.15% to 12% for both Store subscribers and non-Store sellers, with the exception of the Records category, which will remain at 9.15% for Store subscribers and 10% for non-Store sellers.

I saw that and and thought about you. I may have to move e everything to discogs. Most of this batch of DVD have sold but I have more, and hundreds of CDs. Margins are so slim. As I said above is this eBay's response to competition from Amazon's huge inventory and prime steaming? To cripple the media sellers they have?
