Someone posted this article on the ebay forums: www.webretailer.com/lean-commerce/ebay-buy-box/?#/I found it an interesting read. This impacts me in a few ways (I sell media, computer, electronics and sports gear) and as such I'm having to decide what to do, but maybe I'm dizzy, I also see this helping those of us who DON'T sell NWT, commodities, etc. as most of our stock, as it'll winnow out all of the replicate/catalog/NWT items (if they have UPCs) by gathering all of the replicates into one buy box, reduce the amount of duplication on the site, and our stuff stands out more. What it looks like in this article is that for buyers, the buy box feature is an option rather than it being mandatory or default for search (I also chuckled that the buy box for the Dr Dre Beats was owned by someone with 98.5 FB score (which, in the real world, is actually great, but this is eBay). At any rate, just thought I'd leave this here.

One of the things I brought up when they rolled it out is how they only use the 'stock title', so those of us who alter the title with necessary information can suffer. For Example: In the the buy box view it shows this title: Nest by The Odds (CD, Jan-1997, Elektra (Label))My title is: Nest by The Odds (1997) Like New CD - DISC ONLY NO CASEI have had a few people cancel recently because they bought it from the buy box and then didn't realize until after that it didn't come with a case. Pic attached.

I remember that kind of thing happening with your CDs, and is the thing that I said I was pondering up in my OP, because I have computer equipment that's used, or somehow modified.
That's where I think there's a problem for those of us who sell in those categories.
