Gotta love the marketing spin in that last press release lol - I don't think it was quite as world-conquering. Competition is very high in clothing retail and while her items (I've sold some of them) are fine, but they don't stand out much. It's just simply difficult to break into the industry in that mid-price RTW area unless your designs have more innovation. Most of her items are pretty typical offshore mass market production (I have a dress by her which I can't seem to unload that is actually pretty good, though).

Her stuff looked nice (design, style) but every plus size piece I looked at, the fabric was really cheap.

Yeah - save for that one dress, the fabric wasn't great, though I sold a nice top from her. If I were her I stay strictly away from that mess in the White House and concentrate on improving my clothing/accessories line and make my own way independently. All that's going to happen is she continues to just be some kind of appendage of her old man and get tarred with his brush (since his name doesn't seem to be doing much for her clothing line). IMHO - she could develop her designs, improve quality and the like and make a better go of it.

She chose to shut down the company so she could stay in DC.
I think had she NOT taken the unpaid advisor job and just ran her biz, she'd still be in biz. But then if she did that, it probably would have affected Jarrod's job.
No great loss IMO.

I know - I wouldn't have made that move. Her business wasn't doing great (whatever the press release said, I was reading the numbers a while back before Trump even got into the White House) and needed more attention, so she made the decision to let it go. A bad one IMHO, but after he's out of office she can start up again, maybe with a new focus. And yeah, one less designer putting out the SOS isn't a great loss.
