I have a bifold door on the closet in my eBay room. Opens from the right side, to the left wall. I need it to open the other way. It looks like the only hardware is at the top - no bottom track. Can the hardware be flipped maybe?

Val, I just looked at one of our bi-folds. Put the top hinges on the opposite door of where they are now, and it should open the opposite way than what it does now. That should work out OK.

Basically what Desire said. There is kind of a little pin up in the track and one affixed to the floor you will have to drill and screw on the other side but changing which side is operable is a pretty easy fix. IF I lived closer I'd be there in a sec and have it changed out for you in no time flat. Since I live too far away this is a good drawing....page two of it and you can enlarge it....to see exactly how they're installed and the hardware you'll need to change from one side to the other. And then it walks you through step by step. And the hardware is interchangeable from rh to lh. So you won't need to get anything new for it. www.thisoldhouse.com/toh/how-to/overview/0,,1176649,00.html ETA...grrrr. For some reason it will not link the last part of this so you'll have to copy and past the whole link and then it'll show up.

Thanks! I found lots of instructions online, but nothing with pictures. Grrr. So this is helpful. I did find a handy video on how to fix the doors so I may fix the ones in the hall while I'm at it
