Now we're collecting taxes for Australia?

Here's what I'm talking about, on Etsy's announcements. Can the rest of the world be behind? This has been a suckfest of a month as far as policies for selling online, between Etsy & FVF increases, eBay's SNAD nonsense & constant glitches, the Supreme Court declaring we have to collect & remit taxes for other states and now we're collecting a different country's taxes? My nerves are shot... July had better bring better news for sellers.

As far as I know this is something internal to Australia. They changed the collection of their own duties to a GST. We don't collect anything, Etsy does that, and the requirements are for people who use a commercial carrier.
