I used to do that when I was a supervisor - it's because it's just a question, and it's actually pretty common (sorry Bezos) on the part of front-line managers and leads who don't have a whole lot of time, but thank gawd I don't look like a garden gnome.

I'm impressed that he reads all the emails.
This:
"We talk about it, customer obsession, as opposed to competitor obsession," he said. Often companies say they are focused on customers but they really spend most of their energy reacting to and talking about competitors.
"If your whole culture is competitor-obsessed, it's hard to stay motivated if you are out in front. Whereas customers are also unsatisfied, always discontent, always want more. So no matter how far in front you get in front of competitors, you are still behind your customers. They are always pulling you along," he said.

I'm glad I read that link. Now that I know his personal address I am sending an email. I've been getting a lot of items in a huge box and loaded with air pillows. Waste of packaging and annoying as we have to recycle all our boxes at the dump - they can't go in with regular trash. I received a bottle of vitamins in a 12 x 10 box - larger than a normal shoe box. I received Keratin Complex conditioner in a huge box with one air pillow and no tape over the top of the bottle, so it could have easily leaked as it got thrown all around in there.
Another problem I have is the Amazon Pantry. Ordered a few times, met their minimum order requirement, now they want me to buy the Pantry membership at $4.99 a month or I would have needed to pay 7.99 for shipping on my last order (no large heavy items in that order). I signed up with the intent to just cancel within 30 days to get the free shipping on that order. But I have Amazon Prime at $95.00 a year, so I don't understand why I would need to pay for another delivery service at 4.99 a month or an additional $60.00 a year.
It may not help but I will word the email heavily and if they look at my purchases they will see that I purchase stuff continuously from them, not a casual buyer.

Emerald - he doesn't respond to personal emails. Just passes them along if he feels they need addressing. I never expected a reply.
