I noticed today that I have an order on one of my Etsy accounts but never got a notice yesterday. When I got it ready to mail I noticed that it says the order isn't paid for yet. There were no messages regarding a cancellation or anything so I checked my email. That said to allow 1-2 days for the order to process. I've been selling on Etsy several years and have NEVER had a purchase that wasn't paid for immediately. Did something change recently? Has it ever happened to you? Just curious- Thanks!

It's never happened to me - could it be an echeck or something? With Etsy Payments there are a lot more options for people to pay, now.

Thanks Chap- it must be something like that. It just startled me cause it's never happened before. Hope they send me a notice when the payment's gone thru. I guess a pending sale is better than no sale but just barely.

Or shipping out and getting some weird chargeback or something! You'll probably see it in your shop manager when the payment goes through.

Well, now the transaction has disappeared from the order page and sold items page.. It was still there yesterday, unpaid. Maybe that's what a cancellation looks like now? Previously the buyer wanting to cancel just contacts me and asks to cancel. Oh well. At least I don't have a stinkin' uncompleted order staring at me like the one that's 685 days past due. I was on my way out of town and had put a warning that shipping would be delayed on my shop but left it open. The buyer made a purchase and 10 minutes later asked to cancel, which I did from my phone on the road. Now it just sits accusingly on my order page, chiding me for being late with shipping.  |

A buyer just canceled an order today and it was the usual - she wrote me and I canceled for her. I immediately relisted the item but I know these cancellations sit open for a couple of days so that thing is staring at me right now.
I'd call Etsy on that past due order as well as this odd disappearing order.

They must have changed something else- I got a popup (sorta) asking me if I wanted to tidy up and get rid of the old order. Clicked yes and away it goes! I'm an Etsy cheerleader this week- really liking their changes! :-)
