Not a surprise, since most of the valet type retail places for Ebay selling, closed years ago. IDK why they keep wasting their time on stupid sh%t like this.

The explanation leaves unanswered questions - but then again, it was never clear why eBay traded an army of Trading Assistants for two logistics firms to power eBay Valet.
I have one guess: Desire to take complete control through their own channels.
I suspect the demise has to do with incompetence of the two companies chosen, the fact that the TAs were more personal and able to form relationships with prospective consignors, and places like Swap and Thred-Up trounced them.

That was short lived. I am thinking they didn't enjoy the authenticity claims when it was on them. Or they saw that there was actual work involved in being a seller and that canned responses don't work as well on the customer-buyers as they do on their customer-sellers. www.ebay.com/s/valet
