Good morning virtual sellers! It's Wednesday, the middle day, the day that some workers celebrate. But when you work for yourself Wednesdays are, well, Wednesdays are just Wednesdays. Do you have a Wednesday routine each week, are you a creature of habit who sticks to the same plan every week, or are you spontaneous and play it by ear each day and just see what come to mind? Do you hold with the old adage and Mend on Wednesday? Does anyone even mend anymore? Is thrifting your Wednesday thing? Shopping on the middle day can be a good thing, especially at stores that give a Wednesday discount when you have reached a let's call it mature place in life. Yes, I know, it's really a Senior discount, but doesn't mature sound much better? Does the middle day put you in a funk and you just spend the day in bed watching TV court shows and eating popcorn and bon bons? So what do you do on Wednesdays? Spill it and let us know what you do on the middle day. And just to make you smile here is a Wednesday pic Bet you thought it was going to be a camel didn't you?

Wednesday is just like any other day of the week for me. Monday through Friday I have the same routine, or at least I try to. I like to sit and do my listings in the morning before lunch and then spend the afternoons getting listings ready for the next day. I don't usually list on weekends so that I can spend time with my family. The only time I deviate from my routine is when I shop for inventory, but I don't have a specific day of the week to shop.

That is exactly what I do too. I list every morning after I've packaged anything up for shipping. Take a break at noon for a PO run and lunch, then get stuff ready for tomorrow. I just shop when I can. DH has access to a good bin store so he gets most of the stuff I list.

Same old for me. Have been baby-sitting precious (almost 3 year old) grandson on Wednesdays and he will be here this afternoon. But I do the same thing no matter what the day is.....spend all day on eBay.
I do mend and have such a huge pile of stuff. But the only time I am not on my computer is when I watch Steelers football games. That is when I sit at my kitchen table and mend eBay stuff. Long wait for that....
I usually go to thrifts after appointments,(chemo or other) to write off some of the mileage. That is my excuse to stop into the nearest GW.

Wednesdays are usually my get organized day. If I will be putting up 3 day auctions on Thursday evening I will clean, press, measure the items so I can do my pics on Thursday morning. If I have the time I will write the listings then too so they will be ready to go. But I like to thrift on Weds too, my favorite thrift has a 30% old farts discount on Weds and my car somehow just automatically goes in that direction if I am in town. Amazes me how much my car seems to like that parking lot, it can sit there all day and be perfectly happy. So to make the car happy I stay in the store as long as I can.

Normally on Wednesdays, I'll wake up and go to work. NOT TODAY!! I'm jobless until the 30th!
I do have to do a few things today with the two main things being taking my current car through DEQ and get the tags and trying to find a second car. Otherwise, I'll be listing today.

No routine for me. Today, I have to head to a client's office. I did get her to move it back a half hour though since I'm running late from reading this stupid forum

Every day is the same to me. I get up, feed the cats, and then the rest of the day just seems to fall into place. Today I am going to try and take some Ebay pics-I only have a few things to list. Also will cut some bushes back as tomorrow is trash pickup day and I always like to leave something out for them to let them know I appreciate it that they stopped in my alley.

I never know when I will be subbing, so it is really hard for me to get into a routine. Is anyone else here working another job that isn't regularly scheduled? I get to pick and choose when I want to work, which sounds great (and it is, don't get me wrong) but can't seem to get a routine, and it is affecting my sales.
Today, the kids are home for Spring Break. The weather was supposed to be rainy, but it is really nice out, so I am about to take them to the park. I am hoping to go to the bins for a few hours tonight, I need some fresh inventory.

I woke up around 10 and rang for the servants to bring me breakfast in bed (Beluga caviar with truffle oil and a mimosa). Then my personal maid drew the bath (spring mountain water heated to 100.6° F, sprinkled with rose petals) while her assistant laid out my clothing. I couldn't decide which Chanel suit I wanted to wear, so I went with a vintage velvet Pucci gown instead -- it looks great with these Swarovski-encrusted Louboutins! Then I took the elevator downstairs, the butler handed me my ostrich Birkin, and now I'm at the front door waiting on my chauffeur to take me to GW.
All in all, a pretty typical Wednesday.

I will be so happy when my daughter graduates from nursing school in May. She already has 3 job offers, but has to pass the boards first. At least she will have a schedule that I can count on with a job.
In school she has a new schedule every 6 weeks....and part-time therapy jobs whenever she can schedule them.
So baby-sitting is usually "as needed".

The usual Wednesday. Thrifting at 1/2 price day at the SA & then grocery shopping. Just got everything put away, inventoried or in the washer, so after a little internet browsing, hopefully some listing or even better, a NAP

Well, on Wednesdays I usually spend half the morning on this board... oh wait, that's every day.
Other than that, nothing special on Wednesdays. Sometimes I go shopping. I'm been hanging around the house all afternoon waiting to see if my new computer arrives, but at this point I'm thinking not. Probably tomorrow.

Honestly, sometimes I relegate myself to a Sr. Wednesday play day...but not for the past 2-weeks. Today I got a few pkg mailed and a large load of warm weather sweaters washed. Not much else accomplished.

Hi everyone, busy getting ready for our garage sale Saturday. Even have some ebay non-selling junk. It will be nice to see the back of my closet.
Bought one of those markers to use for counterfeit money. Has any one received a counterfeit bill?

Bought one of those markers to use for counterfeit money. Has any one received a counterfeit bill? Good luck with your GS! Although I spent many years handling $ as a cashier, I never encountered any counterfeit bills. But I did get a bad $20 in change from a convenience store (bought gas with a $50). It looked and felt weird, but it was about the same time the Treasury Dept. was releasing newly designed bills. What kept me from going back inside the store then was a flaky-looking transient who was hanging around. So, the next time I made a bank deposit, I included it...and then things got real interesting. I was basically a silent hostage at the drive-thru window for 15-minutes before being told to pull around the back. There a cop was waiting for me. He took a statement from me and I figured that would be the end. HA! I had a Secret Service agent at my door that night to get another statement from me. Nothing ever came of it, though I was out $20!

We have a neighborhood garage sale every year. I don't think anyone checks for counterfeit bills - but then again, I don't know how many $20 bills any of us get! It's mostly change and singles.

Betsroff that sounds scary.
I get some $20's. What is bad is the person that shows up to buy a $ item with a Fifty. They hope that I will tell them, oh go ahead and take it (free). I tell them, sorry I don't have change. But I always start with at least $30 in change.

Thanks! Who gave me the latte? Hi Nomaa, On certain boards you get fun icons that are based on the length of the post you made. There are lattes, donuts, red velvet cupcakes (my favorite), shoes and purses. The icon is specific to that one post and doesn't follow you around, but you can get another one when you post again. Just one of the fun things we have on the forum to help brighten your day.

Hi everyone, busy getting ready for our garage sale Saturday. Even have some ebay non-selling junk. It will be nice to see the back of my closet. I am planning a garage sale for Friday- supposed to get rain Friday night into Saturday. I cannot WAIT to get all this junk awesome stuff out in my driveway and sell it! I am also happy that I got to go to the bins tonight. I went with my cousin, who isn't a reseller. She likes getting good deals, and when we go together, I am a bit more casual in my shopping. I scored about 35 books for my 4th graders to take to their classrooms, they are 5/$1, so really good deal. I love to help the teachers keep up their classroom libraries with current titles, and classics, too. No big woo-hoos, but lots of B&B items. I thought it would be super busy since it is Spring Break, but it wasn't too bad.

LOL! No, it means tax season for me is over and I have time to breathe now. Sort of. So I changed my background. I was getting bored with dots.
I wanna do like Shirley and swap out backgrounds!
