I like the pop of lavender (though I can't wear the colour) throughout, and the lavender colour treatments. The transparent items are intriguing (but the plastic boots and shoes will make your feet sweat like a sumbeach - that's an ancient trend from the 50s that has come around yet again - I remember it from the 70s), but a lot of the stuff I've looked at is the just same old boring designer offerings. Nice to see what's up

$3,845.00 Chanel FANNYPACK
My eyes just rolled out of my head, on to the floor and under the bed. But I do like that high-rise denim is a thing again.

I like the high rise denim, too - I think that plumber's crack/dunlap/ho' look is pretty much past being played out.

Sadly, in my podunk corner of the world,low-rise denim is still very popular among a certain crowd. We'll get there eventually, I suppose.

I was shopping the other night, eavesdropping on the younger shoppers. Several were in hot pursuit of high waist jeans and polo shirts. Guess it's time to dig out my Rocky Mountains & Liz Claiborne jeans from the 80s. Wonder if it's a bonus if the Liz's have stirrups?

I loved the 80s and I welcome any of the styles from then. I went into TJ Maxx the other day and right in front was the prettiest stonewashed denim jacket with pink lace, pearls and rhinestone on it. Definitely not something I can personally revisit but I love to see it. It brought me back to the days of decorating out Levi jackets with trim from the old fabric drawer and then safety pinning the cut up metal concert tee piece to the back. Like an edgy and nice to mix Iron Maiden or The Cure with lace and pearls. (If I knew back then not to cut those up. I had several but my favorites were the above as well as Scorpions, Ozzy, Black Flag, Def Leppard and a knockoff Dead Kennedy’s.) I love love love distressed jeans and glad they are still showing up.

I loved the 80s, too.
And yeah, we're a ways from getting rid of those super low waist jeans here, too. Because there's nothing so attractive as a spare tire and hauling up on those things every 5 minutes (bumping your hips and ratcheting your legs back and forth to help it along). We still have hoards with identically ripped knees, too. Some jeans are so full of holes that you have the next most attractive sight - someone's knobby knees protruding through, or holes in ridiculous places (like the shins).

Haha! I’m too blurpy and don’t shave often enough for knee exposure. My current favorites are these with a layer under distressing. goo.gl/images/T6x4m2 which is good because since I’m shaped like spongebob legs are always too loose. There’s way too much ventilation if the holes are open. I don’t leave the house often, but when I do I wear these, a black & white breton and either a yellow or red cardigan. I’d love to find a perfect lavender cardigan that’s shaped like a blazer. I might leave the house more often.
