Since my body aches all over from the chemo, I am thinking that maybe it would help if I did some kinds of exercises, besides my morning yoga.
I can't find any channels by google for exercising on TV. I know there are some somewhere. I have Comcast, which might not matter.

I'm not sure about cable, but I know Youtube has tons of all kinds of fitness videos. Do you have any way to stream internet to your tv? My daughter used to do that with some yoga videos.

Thanks-that is an idea. I would have to call Comcast to see if I can do that. Forgot about YouTube...guess I could do that. But the TV is in a better place to stand in front of.
I have walking tapes and DVD's, but not sure how to play those with this new TV-cable box set-up.

I only have antenna TV but there are a lot of fitness shows in our area (Chicago TV) on PBS stations. I mostly see them early morning or right after lunch, none of which times I'm inclined to exercise!

Denise, do you have the Comcast On Demand (Channel 1). If you go there, I believe there are a lot of free fitness choices.

Hmmm. Maybe whether they're included or not depends on what cable package you have. Do you have a pretty basic package?

I don't have HBO or Max, have triple play with TV, phone and internet. Heck I pay $180 a month. No way to get it cheaper. That is about 1/5 of my SSD.

I didn't check most of the fitness programs since they would be too hard for me.

When I have sole possession of the TV a little later, I'll do some looking around and see if I can find anything that's free. There used to be tons of them and I know my husband was doing a walking one the other day.

Okay.
On Demand Sports & Fitness (second page of On Demand menu) Fitness Then they'll be a list of categories to choose from.
If you click on GIam TV, there's a free section under there. Also, all the ones under Abs & Core are free. I didn't look through the rest of the choices to see if there are other free ones available, but you can check those out, too. I did click on the Celebrity Workouts one and saw that those require a subscription.

Yay me! Have used the free cardio program for 2 whole days! Only did it for 10 minutes, since I really get tired and out of breath...How sad is that??? The whole session is 23 minutes long. Will work my way up.
Have tons of yard work to do soon, so this should help me to be able to do more.
