Someone on Etsy has written to me interested in buying 3 pieces in my store--three expensive pieces. She has an unusual name; I've googled her and she is apparently a nurse at St. Judes hospital in Anaheim. She's asked if there would be a discount if she buys all 3; no prob, I'd happily offer 10% off but the total would still be $1000. Obviously, this makes me nervous. What do you think? Should I risk it. I have real money in each of these pieces too. TIA.
And if I sell, what is the best way to do it? Is there a way to combine items on Etsy and supply an invoice? Actually, I guess I could create a combined listing for her exclusively, no?

I'm not sure how to combine the listings- maybe create a special "reserved for HER NAME" listing with all 3 in one purchase. Then for a purchase of a sweet amount like that, I'd pay for overnight shipping myself with SIG REQUIRED at her end... less time for the package to futz around in the holiday mail. If you're asking whether I'd sell to someone that looks like $$ could be an issue, it's Christmas and people are using their credit cards.

The past couple of weeks I've had 2 different buyers buy 2 items and Etsy combined the invoice. I really don't know if they do that automatically or if I have it set up that way...it's been a long time since I set up my account.
ETA: And I totally agree with Retro to ship express WITH SIGNATURE REQUIRED.

Etsy has a system where you add shipping for a second item in the actual listing and it's calculated on checkout. My items are so variable in weight that can't do that but it should be easy in this case. Revise the listings to reflect XYZ shipping for first item and then ABc shipping for each additional item. It should combine if they use the shopping cart.

Sold and done. I made a new listing for her with the 4 items and free shipping, Express with signature. Thanks all for the advice! This is very nerve wracking as I hope she is a good buyer.

I'd be a little nervous too selling that much to one individual. But, any nurse that can work at St. Judes has to be a good person and a person of character (you would think anyways). That has to be a tough job.
Congrats on the sale.

Congrats on the sale! I'm sure it will all turn out great, but ANY sale that big I'd be nervous about until I received feedback (whether it be a St Jude nurse or The Pope).
