Good morning virtual sellers!
It's the start of a new week. Will you take some time to rest and relax or will you jump right into it? Easter is three weeks from today, so if you have pretty spring dresses or Easter decorations list, list, list. And speaking of pretty spring dresses, I have a fun link this week for you fashionistas. Did you ever wonder where you could get that dress worn by your favorite TV character? Wonder no more. That information is right here.
St Patrick's Day is this week. I wish all of you a green week and much luck with your inventory sourcing.

It's the ides of March so I am going to lay low and not do much. So nice to have a historical day to blame your laziness on. I did check that site (great one by the way), but there weren't any of the amazing fashions worn by Marge or Miss Piggy so I guess I am out of luck. I am getting a jump on the next holiday.

Well, I think I've listed all my dresses. Have a couple of spring coats to wear over a dress that I should probably get listed very soon, though. I listed my Lilly's last week and three out of six have sold, so that's encouraging.
Went to early Mass this morning, then breakfast at Mickey D's and followed a sign directing me to an Estate Sale after that. It was the second day and they were willing to deal, but I still talked myself out of buying most things. The only thing I picked up were a few pair of vintage stockings NIB in a Size 10 long, which should give me a decent ROI.
It was just a small old house, but there was some really cool stuff there. If I had more knowledge, I might've bought a bunch, but it's probably a good thing that I didn't. That's all I need is more stuff to spend hours researching. There was a vintage wardrobe steamer trunk that was in awesome condition. IME, those are usually musty smelling, but this one was fresh. There were also many vintage clothing items that were pristine. They'd been cleaned and stored in boxes in the cedar chest (also for sale). There was a full-length black velvet opera coat with a white fur collar, another black velvet opera cape, a 1930's satin wedding dress that was PERFECT. It was the best 30's/40's vintage clothing I've ever seen. There was also a Chatty Cathy doll with original box and about five extra dresses. So, while I didn't buy hardly anything, it was a fun way to while away an hour or so on a Sunday morning.
Not sure if I'm going to list anything today, or not. Might take a day off.

Since I have no life, I will pack up my meager 3 sales and get back into listing.

I just finished measuring my first batch of dresses. Now to pour another cup of energy and crop the pictures. First year I've actually managed to get dresses up before Easter.

I am back out in my front yard to try and finish the weed obliteration that I don't finish yesterday. Also need to start on pruning some trees as they are already starting to leaf and bud out.
I only have two plus size blouses to list but they will have to wait.

I could never have passed up some of that stuff classring. Even if I would have to bug the people here to death for the info I'd need to properly list it. I say I don't buy much vintage because I don't have the knowledge and don't want to be a pest about getting help with it. But really, most of the vintage I see is cwap so it's real easy to tell myself that.

But yes, I do perform that stuff. If I ever win the lottery (not likely since I rarely play) I will hire housekeepers for all of us. And a gardener for Kritter. And a cute firefighter for Denise to be on standby to throw her appliances out into the snow as needed.

UGG! My plans for the day were thwarted!
Got to the airport at 515 this morning, only to find out the travel agency that books our tickets didn't pay for my ticket! After an hour on the phone with different agencies, I was able to book a later afternoon flight. Which sucks!
I was supposed to land in DC at 2. I had 2.5 hours of shopping planned before I had to meetup with the group tonight. Now? I land at midnight. Don't they know I have shopping to do?

Odyssey is my favorite person of the day, the week, and probably the month. Can you ask the gardener to bring some trash cans with him because all nine of mine are filled with brush and out in the alley for tomorrow's pickup? Liz, look for more cat stuff to add to my pile.

Classring, my younger sister had a Chatty Cathy doll! If fact, it was about a month ago that I had asked her if she remembered it. Sadly, it was a big NOPE! Thumbelina and Barbie's were my loves...and Tressy (sp?) was the last doll I ever owned. My brothers were notorious for dismembering things... After reading your account of estate browsing, I saw myself doing what you did. Admiring, but leaving the "mystery" stuff behind. SO tried his best to get me out the door for inventory sourcing yesterday. My answer was a resounding, "H*ll NO!!" from me... Instead, I invested in some large storage totes so I can start packing heavy winter stuff away.

I have big plans for this week but only time will tell if everything gets done. The next three weeks are going to be absolutely crazy anyways. DBF and I finally found an apartment and we are approved! We are getting the one bedroom and DBF is going tomorrow to choose the building we want to be in. I can't get off work so it is in his hands. I worked 50 hours last week and have 50 hours this week and the next. We are supposed to move in April 1st but I don't know if I can get the day off. (On the flip side, the overtime pay is nice!)
We looked at couches last week but held off on purchasing since we hadn't been approved yet. Since we are now approved I am going tomorrow evening to purchase the couch and set up a delivery time. The couch is the only furniture item we will be purchasing new. We have been trolling Craigslist and bought a nice mid century modern solid wood coffee table last week. My awesome co-worker with a truck went and got it for me and delivered it to my house and refused any money. We ordered lunch at work on Friday and I managed to pay for his though. We have a new mattress we bought less than 2 years ago. We need a dresser and chest of drawers but we're just going to live without them until we find some nice ones in our price range that are secondhand. We also bought two TV trays to use until we find a kitchen table.
I have too much Ebay crap everywhere though that I want to list as much as possible before the move. Every item that sells is one that doesn't have to be trucked up two flights of steps. Plus, I'd love some extra funds for the fun stuff I want to buy to decorate and I'd love to be able to get a nicer comforter for the bed and maybe some nice shams or decorative pillows.
I have two items to ship out tomorrow but have only had 3 sales for the month. I have only listed 8 items and everything else listed has been listed a long time with terrible pics.

Yay on the apartment, pyrex! Congrats! Quick tip - if you like sunny rooms and want as much light as possible for eBay, try to get at least one room with an east or south facing window (preferably room you will be taking pics in). Same also works for patio/balcony if that's what you'll be using. North facing isn't enough light and west is often too bright and the room gets really hot in the summer (for hot climates anyway).
