Anyone have success selling there? Pls share. I listed a handful of designer pcs there a few years ago. Nothing sold there & I ended up taking them down since they sold elsewhere.
The other day I decided to give it another go & listed quite a few items. The listing is easy, but it takes awhile for your items to show up--they have to first 'accept' them, which can take a few days while they decide if its something they want & whether they agree with the price. Then another day or so while they clean up your photos, even if they are already white ground. Only then do your items become visible on the site. The only things they didn't accept so far were 2 St John classic pieces. They negotiated the price on a few items: men's Comme des Garcons coat, Ted Baker Dress & Thakoon blouse. In general, their prices are much higher than ebay's. So is their commission: a whopping 30+% however the higher prices more than cover that...the money I will get if anything sells will be about $20-$30 more than on ebay.
They claim that 54% of the items are sold within 7 days. We shall see--I haven't sold anything yet & my first listing went up about 3 days ago. One thing though: people see the listings! Within hours I have several potential buyers marking my items as Favorites or Wish List (don't know the difference). My items seem to attract more attention than ebay these days. My ebay business is so so slow..and I have about 550 listings. I would expect to sell at least 0.5% per day, about 2.5 items but that has not been the case on most days.

I don't have anything that qualifies for Vestaire, but I can see it attracting people with money to spend but who want some kind of vetting.
ETA: Oh, and my sales are very slow, too. I've stopped trying other venues because it's just more work for no reason and sticking to four outlets. If I had the items to qualify for vestaire, though, I would definitely try that one. Sounds like they've upped their game for advertising or somehow getting better known.

The good thing for me is that they take some of the brands that get little attention on ebay, or sell for nothing--which I have plenty of. (DVF, See by Chloe, Phillip Lim, Rag + Bone, Elizabeth & James, Trina Turk, etc). Some of these brands I've listed on ebay in the past for $20 with no interest, I have them listed there for much more. Now, let's see if they sell for me.....others are selling them! I think my sales are non-existant on Tradesy because it's the same customer as ebay...they see it on Tradesy & buy it on ebay for less. It seems the only time I'm on Tradesy in the last few months is to delete a listing that sold on ebay. I think/hope that Vestiaire has a different customer base.

I do have Chloe, See by Chloe - I skip Elizabeth & James because I thought it was just more B&B that I'd never grok. I do get some Philip Lim, but very few and far between in my area. Maybe I should check further!

chap--they also take J Crew (prob has to be the better stuff, esp w their commission starting at mini $25), Nanette Lepore, J Brand, Underarmor, C&C California, Alice & Olivia,.... These are brands that don't sell for me on ebay, so I'm going to try & double expose them as much as I can.

Also, they will only accept photos flat on the ground or on a hanger. No mannequins. Their commission is a killer, $25 minimum. I remember I listed several items a few years back and someone kept harassing me about APC jeans I had asking me to lower the price several times. Nothing sold.

I just copied and pasted the list of brands they accept into Excel, and there are over 5000 brands (99% of which I've never heard of haha). Do the items have to be recent or would something from say 10 years ago be accepted?
ETA, is there really a brand called "DRYCLEANONLY"?

So that's why they have so many items drooping on hangers - it doesn't look good as many are not even straight. I wonder if they're trying to exclude 'professional' sellers? And is that "Go Pink" model wearing a hazmat suit?
Still - if you can get more for items selling them there, it may be worth the hefty commission.

Interesting. Sold worldwide but only 3 stores in the US. I couldn't get one of the websites to load on my phone, and one only sold bomber jackets in the $300-$400 range (on sale/clearance). The collections I looked at on the Dry Clean Only website seem to be targeted towards young people.

Even if I found a style in the store that I tought was desirable, I'd have to think twice about buying it because of the search possibilities with a ridiculous brand name like that.

I tried Artyah but nothing sold there and it's really geared mostly to handmade. Ruby Lane is spendy and very controlling.

There's a little box you tick off if it's vintage. Check it out.
