Per Val's request, here is a wish list thread. For any forum features, etc. you want the admins to look into.
I only have one request if it's not a pain.
It would be great if we could have a button to go to the next page of a thread at the bottom of the thread. It looks like now we have to scroll back up to the top to go to the next page, and a couple times I didn't realize there WAS a next page because I didn't see a "next", a page number, or anything at the bottom.

The page count at the top should be scrolling down as you scroll down (like excel spreadsheet headers do). I didn't notice it until ahrn pointed it out. But, adding it to the bottom might be possible, there is a lot of customization you can do here. Or moving it to the bottom instead of the top.
Carry on.

You're right, it does. I didn't notice that. Never mind then, that works fine.

Zoe has requested that posts be numbered.
There IS a way to do that, I found it on the help forum but it involves customization so it may be a week or two before we get to that. But it's on the list.

i'm adding 'more smileys' to the wish-list. I downloaded a smiley plugin that lets me add to what we have but I have to sit down and read the directions first. Funny how that happens….

Is there an easy way to add a link to our listings, on eBay and on other sites?

Go to your profile, look on the personal tab. There is a block there for a signature. Try that.

I'd like to see post numbering, so we can refer to a specific post in a thread. I've already wanted to use it twice :-)
eta; Val, I'll delete the other thread. Sorry.

How about a social media board? Where we can post tips, instructions, how to use them to help sales, etc., for Twitter, Pinterest, FB, etc. There was a great Twitter thread on Kevin's board with a lot of instructions that helped quite a bit.

Where would you want a social media board? As a section under the Chat & Off Topic board? Or more private, in the clubhouse? I can see it in both places, TBH. Remember, chat/off topic is open to anyone to read. Clubhouse requires at least 50 posts to access.

Is there a way to see new posts since your last visit? I always like to see the new topics.

Adding another one - clickable graphics so we can use our logos on posts. I've seen it on the support forum posts, so it might be a customization feature. We'll keep you posted.

Yes & no. Yes, it works, however, it's quite cumbersome. I've been trying to use it for the last few days & the thing is you have to keep going back in that way after every post you read or keep going to the HOME page & then scrolling to the bottom & then clicking RECENT THREADS from there. Either way is cumbersome.
So, for me, it's still a wish list item to have an UNREAD button that stays at the top of the page, no matter what, like it did on Kevin's board.

zoe, I agree that it doesn't work as efficiently as the button in the other forum.
What I've been doing after reading a post is hitting the back button once or twice, as necessary, to take me back to the unread page where I started, but if a button at the top of the page was possible, that would be awesome.

It would be nice to have something similar to the "Dead Horse" discussion on here so we can continue to get laughs from the expense of a certain lights-his-cigars-with-dollar-bills-in-a-hottub seller.

Yeah, I've been doing that too & it works fine for a quick read or 2. But once I get into answering, commenting, going anywhere else, I just sort of lose it LOL.

I'm having a hard time knowing where to put things. Just a couple of examples:
I put an eBay policy related question in eBay Technical Issues yesterday just because I didn't know where else to put it. There isn't any really clear place to put eBay related policy and buyer issues IMO. There are a few places things like that could go, but not just one that makes you think 'Yes, that's the board for that'. Maybe eBay Technical Issues could just be changed to eBay Issues?
I also know there's a thread somewhere for Twitter which probably isn't getting the attention it deserves because it's on one of the 'other site' boards like Bonanza or Big Commerce. I love having the separate venue boards. I plan to branch out this year and I will make full use of those. But there are marketing strategies, including the use of social media, that are common to ALL venues so I still think we need a generic selling/business category not related to one venue or one category of selling.
I probably will not be reading by "new posts" or "new threads" at least for awhile. So I'm reading board by board, only the boards that apply to me. I think others may be too and that's why the Twitter thread, for example, doesn't have more replies.

I added some code that shows post numbers (specifically it says "Reply #__"). When you're referring to another post you can say "see Reply 3 on Thread blah-blah-blah".
"Reply #" is a direct link to that post, so you can just copy & paste it.
ETA: If a post is deleted, the Reply # count gets reset. So if there are 10 posts in a thread, and someone deletes the third post (Reply #2), the fourth post will be relabeled Reply #2, the fifth will become Reply #3, etc. up to the tenth post, Reply #8.

LOL, I saw it right away & started a thread, wondering if you guys had done something or if I just missed it before.
It's fantastic AHRN, thank you so much!!! That will go a long way towards making post referrals easy!
You da man :-) Or in this case, YOU da woman!

It's been asked if we can have social media board, just haven't set it up yet. I'll go do that now, and move the Twitter thread over. You rock, ahrn!!!!

I combined 2 boards into "Resources & Other Venues". IF they get large enough down the road, I'll split them again. I added Social Media to this area. Will that work for now?

I think you could probably combine the Bonanza, Etsy & Other selling sites into one board and the Amazon & BigCommerce into another. Most likely the eBay board will get the most action in here.

Clean, I think that's a good idea. There won't be many posts on each of those you mentioned (except Amazon) and the threads will be old soon. If combined as you said above, it will make the whole board shorter to navigate and that thread for all of them combined will get built up faster.
If we start getting members that sell heavy on those venues and it's getting too jumbled, we can always split it out later. I think combined it will make the board look more active and interesting too.

I can merge those this afternoon. I think there might be more activity shortly on the big commerce board, a couple of us are thinking of following in mup's footsteps. It's also pretty easy to move the various boards, so splitting them back out won't be a big deal.

Is it possible to get a warning to come up if a thread gets a new post while you are composing your post? I hope that makes sense.

It makes sense to me cuz it's a frequent thing on the song titles game. Have you posted & conflicted with someone else's reply yet Midnight? Does that make sense? In other words, do we know that we don not get a warning? I've been watching for it on the Song Titles Game but haven't run into it yet.

Val, I agree abt combining those other boards too. The Home page looks like a lot, yet a bunch of topics have no posts & those are the ones.
Also, I posted a USPS question today & wasn't quite sure where that should go. Since I wanted a quick answer, I just put it in OT & got my quick answer :-), but I was debating between CSA & Ebay Issues, yet it didn't seem right for either.

If we combine some of those selling venue board o streamline the look of the homepage, we could probably fit a much needed category regarding packaging, shipping, carriers, etc. There is always a question about it or a thread on polymailers, etc.

Yes, it happened to me yesterday and I just went ahead and deleted my post. There definitely wasn't any warning.
