This area is for members to list items for sale to the general public. The items can be from any online site you sell on - Amazon, Etsy, Tradesy, eBay, your own website, etc.
1. For maximum exposure to search engines, each item should have its own thread. Members, feel free to comment on an item thread, but don't add any additional items to the thread. ONLY ONE LISTED ITEM per thread. No limit on comments, comment away.
2. Use keywords, as many as you like. Provide detail on your item so search engines will have something to latch onto. Just popping up a link to the item, a title and a picture won't do you any good. Consider this an expanded copy of your original listing. MORE is better! Expand on it!!
3. Pictures of the item are required. Notice that says "pictures", plural - pictures are good. If you plan to add a lot of pictures, please size them so they aren't overly huge. There are multiple ways to do this, see the picture tip discussion in the Forum Tips area.
4. A link to your actual listing is required. Remember, this area is open to the public and non-members will be viewing items listed here. How are they going to find your item if you don't add a link? Proboards has a link builder feature - use it. Look at the icons in the reply window, it's the one that looks like a piece of paper in front of a globe (first icon).
5. Members are limited to 3 listed items per day, per selling site, per category. Example #1, you only sell clothing on eBay. You are limited to 3 clothings posts per day. Example #2, you sell clothing on eBay and on Tradesy. You can list 3 unique eBay items, and 3 unique Tradesy items per day. Example #3, you sell clothing on eBay and Tradesy, and vintage collectibles and accessories on Etsy. You can list 3 items from eBay and 3 items from Tradesy, all in the Clothing section. You can then also list 3 vintage accessory listings from Etsy, also in the clothing/accessories area. You can also list 3 vintage collectibles from Etsy, since the collectibles section here is separate from the clothing section. That would be a total of 12 items per day you could list here.
6. Please police your items. Delete your post when an item sells. If the forum won't let you delete your post, then edit to put SOLD in the thread title and the admins will remove your listing for you.
7. Edit your post to update your link if you item is relisted, so it goes to the new item #. You may also end the old post (see point 6 above) and start a new thread for the new item #. Listings here with dead links will be deleted by the admins with no advance notice to you. This board needs to show active, current links.
Happy Selling!
