What spreadsheet program do you use on your Mac and how does it compare to Excel? Need to be thinking about a new computer and would like to go to a Mac but really hate to leave Excel. Considering looking into the Surface Pro also but thought I'd check into the spreadsheet available on the Mac first.
TIA

Excel runs on Macs -- all the Office programs do.

And files can be exchanged between mac-created and pc-created machines. Easy peasy.
I have the Microsoft 365 subscription on both macs and my PC. I still have 2 slots available, too, if I ever get a tablet.

I agree with the ladies, I have Mac at home and Excel at my office and DH's office and we send files back and forth all the time, no problems. Love my Microsoft Office for Mac.

Mac has their own knock off called numbers (unless they discontinued it?) and it does NOT play well with pc users. Excel is cross-platform. Actually, most Microsoft products work better on a Mac than they do sometimes on the PC

Awesome!! Very good to know. Now just need to get up the nerve to spend the kind of money it takes to purchase the computer and software. It would only be a section 179 (think that's what it's called) deduction on taxes, right? And then only for the portion used for eBay (which is 75-80%), right?

If it makes you feel any better, Macs last a LONG time. The first one I purchased in 2003 is still running and working fine. It can't be upgraded to the newer OS so that's why I had to buy a new one - old browsers weren't working on the various websites. Had the Mac been about 2 years newer, I could have upgraded the OS (the newer ones have Intel chips, my old one does not, and that was the main issue for upgrading). I still use it for a lot of things.

After I got through my small learning curve with my Mac--I LOVE IT so much better than anything else I've ever owned. I just can't explain it. I actually broke down about 2 months ago and bought a Macbook Air. I've never been a laptop person, but I have fallen in love with mine. Really. It's worth the money if you have it to invest into a computer/laptop that will last you a long time. Looks for sales. In stores and online. And remember, Best Buy price matches ETA: They price match some bigger online retailers: Amazon, Newegg, etc.

We are a Mac household, I guess its an addiction, they are just so integrated with each other. iPhone, iPad, MacBook Pro and the Macbook Air. I love them. There is Excel and I think once people try Mac and they like it then they just can't go back.
