I used to have an iphone 5s. When something sold and I got paid for it, I would get the cha ching sound.
Now I have an iphone 6s. When something sells, I get the notification/alert that something sold and then I get the cha ching sound/alert that someone paid. The two alerts happen within seconds of each other.
What I don't like is the alert that something sold. The sound is the same as if someone, i.e. unhappy buyer, is sending me a message. So for a split second, I'm like, "Oh crap, what now." And then I hear the cha ching and my nerves are instantly calmed.
Is there a way to change this? I looked and I can't find anything. When I go into notifications, my only option is off or on. I can't pick which notifications I want. I just want the cha ching alert/sound.

Good luck with that. I have a 2+ year old Saumsung S4 and the ca-chings might be 2 hours later or never. Also not working right on my mini iPad.

Not that I know of or have figured out. They changed something with their so-called app update and screwed something up. Ha, while writing this my phone cha-chinged. Then the darn harp sound telling me the buyer paid. Finally the be-be-beep from Paypal. So it's something in the eBay-Paypal interface, maybe because of their split? I don't understand why the order changes on the notices. Often I get the "harp" before the cha-ching; that's annoying and just doesn't make sense.

I don't get the PP notification any more. It has been years.....will have to look for that option.

OK, HTG! I just got a ca-ching for a sale that was made 2 hours ago. Cue Twilight Zone music.

Yea after posting this, it dawned on me that it was probably the ebay app and not my phone.
I get so confused at times.

Well, iPhone is always updating something and could have changed the way something works. I do get tired of constant updates, especially for stuff I never use.
