Last night I got an order for a $40 sweater, confirmed via email from Grailed and also on their site. Was told to ship. Then instructions popped up that PayPal payment wasn't possible and to enter a credit or debit card number.
Then 6 of my credit cards showed up, showing the last 4 numbers of each, and I was to choose one. I backed out of that quickly and while trying to find out how to contact Grailed, I received a notification that the buyer's "anarchy" account was frozen.
So how the heck did that scammer get all of my CC numbers? I spent all day today, closing down my accounts and requesting new cards.
Also put a freeze and fraudulent hold on all 3 credit reporting agencies. Other than that, the numbers might be visible through Credit Karma. I didn't know that the freeze was only good for a year. I was a victim of SS fraud in 1994, and had to flag all of my accounts. Back then, it was supposed to last forever.
I am still trying to contact Credit Karma.
And I don't have all of my CC account numbers saved anywhere online. And they all have double security to get into the sites.
