I’m a no returns seller. I had my first request for a return today with apology from buyer saying she had been out of town when item, Johnny Was J3 Workshop shirt, arrived 11 days ago. She said waist was too small and it didn’t fit like her other 4 Johnny Was shirts. She’s already left positive feedback stating “Nice shirt but unfortunately doesn’t fit me.” Waist measurement of 32” was included in the listing. This is my first request for return because of fit. I haven't replied yet and assume I don't have to accept but if I accept do I return only the price the customer paid and they have to return item at their own expense? I’m thinking about charging a restocking fee of 10 to 20%. Do most people charge a restocking fee when they grant a return as a no return seller? If I do, I’m not sure how/where to deduct that since first time with this situation. One more question, if the customer is unhappy paying return shipping or accepting a restocking fee if I decide to charge one, can they change their feedback?

I'm a no returns seller too. I'm pretty sure you can't charge a restocking fee unless you normally accept returns. They have to pay return shipping, yes.

Restocking fees were eliminated years ago by ebay. If you gave measurements and you are a No Returns seller, why are you taking the return if you don't want to.
The buyer will have to pay return shipping in a remorse/no fit return. Positive feedback cannot be changed to Negative feedback.

If you have the option to refuse the return, refuse it. The buyer has already left feedback so they can't neg you. A return for fit does not count against you.

I see there’s no upside to my allowing her to return, just more work for me to sell again. It’s a good item but I really don’t want it back.

I am also a No Returns seller although I now never sell anything to return. That being said, I refuse returns for fit or whatever if I have the option. I give measurements on clothing items and if a buyer can't bother to read the measurements and figure out if it will fit or not then that is on them.

I also don't accept returns for fit. I offer to let the buyer use my pics and description if she wants to sell it herself.

I would take the return. Johnny Was will ALWAYS sell again. Raise the price a couple of dollars to make up for the hassle.

I was waiting to see if I heard from buyer again and thinking of doing what chapeaunoir suggested when I checked my feedback this morning. Before she posted her feedback I had a 5.0 for accuracy of description and now I’m at 4.9 so I realized she is responsible for that. I’m unhappy about that and now going to refuse return and say what frakinfashion suggested. After waiting 11 days to request return and especially for dinging me for accuracy in description, she doesn’t deserve any special treatment. Yes, I’m a little sensitive😊.

The DSRs don't mean anything - they're totally subjective. But if you want to refuse, giving her the photos and description is a good compromise.
