I posted my first lot with Flyp (joinflyp.com) about 3 weeks ago. They matched me with a newer seller and I accepted her offer of our split. So far very good. A week later I posted a second larger lot. This time they matched me with a longtime eBay seller who offered me a lower percentage but I accepted it because I am trying to see if this will work for me. Yesterday she posted all 22 items in the lot I sent her. I am very pleased with the quality of the listings both sellers generated and am preparing a third lot to send next week.
I watched several videos posted by Flyp sellers and they were very helpful in guiding me on my choice of items to include. In the joinflyp.com app, you can search to see if a particular brand is accepted but even that is no guarantee Flyp lot reviewers will not require an item to be removed from your lot before they will clear it for matching. One shocker from the first lot I was assembling was their rejection of a Comfy tunic length top with the reason given (roughly) that “there are too many”.
Many cutting edge European brands are not accepted though when I mentioned my dismay about that they replied telling me they would add it to their list of brands to be considered. Most brands I inquired about were expensive, like Annette Goertz, Rundholtz, Ivan Grundahl.
They do take many men’s items but oddly, while they accept Cole Haan and Allen Edmonds shoes they do not accept Church’s.
I’ll post again in a few weeks with more information on how their “support” continues to handle issues and hope if anyone else is using Flyp, they will post their experience on this thread.

Interesting. I love Ivan Grundahl and had some very good sales on the few outfits that I had.

I'm guessing you used the "Sell With a Pro" option?

So much for Sell With A Pro. It requires the app, and the app is only available for iPad/iPhone.
Seriously. Nothing for android/PCs? They're cutting their market in half by not offering an Android/PC version. Oh well.

I notice that with a lot of apps. I have trouble getting work because the places that hire for doing videos, AI stuff, etc., demand an iPhone only.

It's good to know you had a good experience. I did not. My items never got posted, and I never got them back. I got paid out at the lowest amount of the estimated range, which I had felt was low for my items but had agreed to it because I had already refused one seller and didn't want to refuse a second one. Basically, someone has my items for about $11 each. They were not high, high end items, but there was Aidan Mattox, Tufi Duek, Red Valentino, Lily Pulitzer, Halston Heritage, Tibi, Marc Jacobs, Roberto Cavalli (had a flaw that reduced the value of it, but not as low as I got paid for it), Derek Lam, and Elie Tahari. I got $111 for them. The seller said she got Covid, but she didn't tell me that for several weeks, and she indicated she was better and would get them listed. I waited 2-3 weels, but when they still didn't get listed, I contacted Flyp. I don't remember exactly what happened then, but it was another couple of weeks when I ended up requesting them back. Sometime after that she claimed she sent them back but used the wrong label so someone else must have gotten them. I don't know if that is true or not, but there were just too many issues for it to be believable. I got a request for a review of her, which I normally don't do, but she got one from me that was not favorable. Of course, Flyp does not show the bad reviews, only the good ones. She is still selling through them.

I shipped my third lot yesterday and so far no real issues except a little tech delay with matching me with a seller for my third lot last weekend and Monday. I have a 4th lot ready and 5th one half way done. I recommend watching a few of the seller videos for some interesting insight to what they are looking for. In a little over 4 weeks I’ve accumulated almost $200 in payments from the first 2 lots and am letting it accumulate for now. I have a specific goal. Almost everything I’m putting in my lots I have little or nothing invested in. Did due diligence on brands they accept and made sure I checked everything out on the page on their site where you can type in brand names and they show “Yes” , “No”, and rarely,“Maybe”. With “Maybe” brands, like J Jill, I am only selecting “better” items. Percent offered from sellers have varied and you have the right to reject any offer and wait to be matched with another seller. Linking your checking account with the payouts from the site was far easier than I thought it would be because I bank with a smaller regional bank, not Chase, Wells Fargo, Fifth/Third or one of the other majors. Linking with the majo is supposed to be a faster and easier process.
My experience so far is good and Flyp suits my current circumstances.

I’ve continued to list several more lots on Flyp and sold quite a bit but sellers have progressively offered smaller percentage in sharing proceeds. I’ve rejected several and accepted a few. Fortunately I’ve only sent items I have little invested in so overall doing OK. Earlier this month Flyp changed their flat $9 “shipping to seller fee” which is deducted from consignors share of proceeds from first sale. They will now charge .99 per item. I am rethinking whether I will continue to consign through Flyp. No big glitches just 2 sellers who take more like 4 than the estimated 2 weeks to make proceeds from their sales available. .

Just finished selling my 8th lot on Flyp. New pricing policy on freight would double my shipping costs, on average, so I am going to step away for now. I looked at my overall profit and if I had to pay the new rates for what I have sold so far, it would have reduced my profit by around 6%. More annoying than significant but I am doing better on eBay now and feel I need to concentrate my effort there since my margins are much higher. Feels good to have moved over 150 pieces out of my inventory on Flyp, though. No big issues with Flyp. Money transferred easily and I never had to ask them to step in and help with an issue. Might still be good for some consignors who have fewer pieces and higher end items.

Notification arrived from Flyp today announcing that the Flyp “Service Fee” is going from 5% up to 10%. New shipping fees had already led me to decide to stop using Flyp. If you have high end items to send in for sellers to bid on and list, and don’t want to do the photography and listing work to sell them, then Flyp might work for you.
