How do you get them to stay still like that? They look almost hypnotized.

Those are two decent pics out of maybe 30 that I took of them. I think they just gave up and stood still for a nanosecond so I would leave them along.
Lessons in social distancing/personal space with the Missy family are currently being held.

Angie came over on Friday and took a lot of pics of Chanel and Terrell which will hopefully turn out better than the pics that I took. They go tomorrow afternoon to the vet for their pre adoption checkups, microchips, and Chanel gets her combo test and rabies shot.
Looks like Thistle has been spoken for but cannot go until the end of the month to his new home because the adopter is moving. Daisy goes tomorrow for a pre adoption visit with her new person.
I will be glad when the fosters are all gone.

OK... Here is the post. Angie's Angels Are Looking For Their Homes. Angie's AHACS foster kittens are ready to leave foster and are looking for their new homes. All the kittens have been spayed/neutered, microchipped, and are fully vetted. The kittens are approximately 3 months old. The kits have been fostered around older cats who have gladly instructed them in regard to manners and personal space. Sunny and Rosie came from different parts of town and fell in love in foster. Sunny is one of those cats that loves to be petted but only on his terms. He is much more interested in playing with toys or the other kittens. His first love is Rosie and if Rosie is in my lap, he will want to be there too. Rosie is a total lovebug and is always ready to give you kisses. Her first choice is snuggling in a lap but she is always up for romping with Sunny and Ninja.
What can I say about Ninja, the Tux in Trouble. Ninja is everywhere and into everything. Curiosity, energy, and love all bundled up into one kitten. Always the one leading the others into new adventures and mischief. Clover has been the welcoming committee for new kittens in Angie's office. She is used to lots of attention and loves to meet new admirers. Cleo is the newest addition to the foster program. She is not ready for adoption yet but can be applied for on a preadoption status.

Since Clover is used to being around strangers, has anyone thought of seeing if she'd (he'd?) qualify for training as a therapy pet?

Our main goal is to get them into homes. Angie is so tied up with keeping all the balls in the air that there is no time for being creative.
She just called and was on her way back to the police department because the police just answered a call and found 6 German Shepherd teenage pups in a crate in an abandoned apartment.

I still think Clover would have been the product of a Barney/Funnel Cake union.
They're all so squealiciously cute. (yes, I just made up that word).

They are a mess. Last night I was in my bedroom reading with Kenya and we heard a loud crash coming from the other part of the house.
We looked at each other and decided whatever it was could wait until morning. I did lock my bedroom door when I turned out the light in case it was an intruder crashing through the front door/windows.

No AWWWWWWWs, Tabby, none at all.
You have been here when there were kittens. You know how they are.
The only time you can let down your guard is when they are asleep.
I was outside on my back step talking on the phone to Angie and all of a sudden there was a crash inside the house. It was loud enough for Angie to hear thru the phone. She said "WTH was that". I told her that "it" was her kittens.

Dori, the tortie, is chief teacher of personal space to the kittens. Apparently Ninja is the designated kitten teacher for sharing.

I love Sunny's face - he looks like he's listening intently and thinking.
I can't decide if that's Ninja's "who, me?" face or "oh shit".

Angie put the kittens on some Petfinder lists in cities across the country and already an application for Rosie from Portland, Oregon.

Rosie is a cutie. When she was sitting in Kritter's lap, I could hear Rosie purring and I was several feet away.

All the kittens have adoption applications from the Portland area. Several have more than one application. Angie has already started calling vet references. We are expecting more applications as the initial ones were sent in within 48 hours of her posting the kits pics. Now we need more kittens.
Bake sale this Saturday to raise money for the kit's trip to their new homes.

That sounds fishy to me, that so many applications would come in on one batch of kittens from the same out of state area.

The only Sunny I could find with zip 78209 was with Helotes Animal Society. This was on Petfinder.

The applications are coming from that area because Angie figured out how to get them on their local adoption website on Friday. Not sure if it was PetPoint, AdoptaPet, or Petfinder but one of those area lists for adoptable animals.
There is a lady here who sends out transports of adopted dogs at least twice a month to adopters in the Portland area. She promotes the dogs through her shelter contacts in Portland. The rescues do all the legwork and application process. Angie sent out a dog last week on one of the transports. She said she knew more about the adopters those adopters than she did about some of the local adopters.
I was searching shelters/rescues in Maine, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island and found very few kittens available for adoption. In fact, some shelters had under 10 cats total for adoption. We plan to set up a similar adoption process in those areas if we need to in the future.
A couple of applications stated they were looking for a kitten as a companion for another cat they had adopted and couldn't find one. Angie does require vet references and does check them out. She also calls the applicants and has very long telephone conversations with them until she is totally comfortable with their intentions . She requires an adoption fee so these are not free kittens or "given away in front of Walmart" kittens. All applicants are thoroughly screened and Angie does not cut corners. She also runs them by me for a second approval.
Not everybody that applies for an Alamo Heights foster animal whether dog or cat gets approved. We know how to say "no". A friend of the Assistant Police Chief here wanted to adopt the dog that went on this weeks transport to Portland. Angie did not think it would be a good match so she hid the dog in foster off the books so the Assistant PC would think it was adopted and not keep bugging her about it.
A good friend of Angie's wants to adopt one of these kittens but he wants to declaw the front paws. He does not have vet references for the cat he already has. He is not getting a kitten.

Good to know! I wonder why so many areas have shortages of kittens and cats? Maybe they don't have the rescue groups in those areas?
