According to their website. If you were planning on sending anything, I’d advise sending winter items.
ETA, I even looked for a previous thread that I was going to update but didn't find it. That's because I was under the wrong company!

Where did you see that?

Since I’ve gotten so many people giving me bags of crap during the shutdown, I have sent in stuff about every other week. It’s not earth shattering but I just cashed out another $70 from stuff left on my porch. Sending stuff in regularly is what I should have done all along to keep getting stuff processed. I sent one last week and they didn’t say it was that long, but I did select I’m in no hurry.

Posh is accepting boxes of stuff?

My question too. You are sending stuff to Posh?

NO, sorry! I thought I was posting this on thredup!

Oh dang - I was getting ready to pack everything up - I figured Posh had something new going with their own mystery boxes and couldn't figure out what I was missing - I mean, it makes sense in a way.
I checked ThredUp once again - for my level of items, I might get 50 cents or a dollar for something if I get anything at all (they say they only take 40% of items received in bags). I'm amazed at the payouts you guys get.
ETA: I don't trust myself to know enough about clothing to flip stuff to ThredUp - it takes a level of knowledge and fashion instinct I just don't have.

Honestly Chap, I just shove it in a box or bag. I’m surprised what they take and they take most. With nothing but my time to toss in a box invested, 60 cents to $2 per item adds up. I’m shocked at stuff they take as much as I’m shocked at what they don’t take.

If the items were free I wouldn't hesitate, believe me - even a buck an item would be fine with me, but my items cost anywhere from $5 to $20 each and I have to figure out how I get more money - writing out of inventory or sending it to ThredUp.

I sent a bag in February, bad timing with the Covid in March. All in all I sold 18 items (9 of which were just my old Old Navy stuff I didn't want) and I got all of $32.50. AND I just got it July 6th (5 MONTHS after sending the bag). Between slow processing time, and items being returned and then relisted it seems to take a very LONG time to get full payout now.

I sent a couple of bags in that time frame within just a few days of each other. One got processed about two days before things started shutting down where I am. Not sure when they shut down in Illinois, but it definitely took a toll on sales. About half the stuff sold, and I just withdrew my payout a week or so ago. The second bag did not get processed until they opened back up. Some of it is still for sale. I am getting the funds for my stuff quicker than I did for the first bag so I believe they have done away with the ridiculously long return window. I figured they extended the return window because they didn't have the money to pay commission with not much coming in in sales. JMHO.

Now they aren't taking any orders AT ALL and you can opt in to be notified when they are sending kits out again.

Well, I can get off the fence on that, then. I hate being so wishy-washy about this stuff, and I've been wishy-washy about the entire selling 'experience' for the last two months. It's like I can't make up my mind whether to keep selling or look for a 'day' job as a greeter or courtesy clerk, but any job that opens here is met with a hoard of applicants.

I also have the notice they are on hold. I did have a couple labels I previously requested but haven't used yet and I was able to print those and I also have one donation labels to use.

I received a $10 credit for the wait time. I didn’t see it in my thredup account, just email. “We appreciate your patience with our longer processing times. Your continued support helps us keep clothes in closets, and keep our team safe too!“ I just used it to buy a “sure thing” NWT item to flip. It didn’t allow me to use free shipping points with the discount though.

I have a box sitting at the processing center that says it will be processed by Oct 15, but no offer of $10 for my wait. I requested two more labels, and sent one of the boxes this morning. I thought I had more stuff to send, but my winter stuff appears to be things I need to list versus send in. I don't like sending my Dillard's stuff in because they price it at what I would price it at or lower and then I only get a small percentage.

I wonder if Thred-Up puts their regulars who send in really good stuff, like you guys, or lux boxes, closer to the head of the queue when they get really backed up? It would make sense in a way, as a loyalty perk.

Hold, Please! Kits Are Temporarily Unavailable.
Due to high volume and reduced staff, kit orders are on pause until we are able to reduce processing times and provide you with the best Clean Out experience possible. Come back and clean out with us when our processing times are back to normal. Opt in to get notified below.
